Rating: - Solid tutorial

If you are new to dSLRs then it is extremely worthwile to get a DVD A-Z run through of this complex camera's features. I picked up some choice new tips from watching this video and I shall rewatch it. Yes, I played with the camera extensively AND read the manual and I still found this DVD guide to be well worth the money. And a lot easier on the brain than reading the manual or trial and error.

I found I learnt more by using the camera and reading the manual than I did with this DVD.

Rating: - knowing the basics

nicely presented DVD by a typical american, good value for money. ideal to learn about the camera if you prefer not to read through the thick manual. it is about the camera and not about teaching you photography. i learnt a few helpful hints, which i now have put into practise. things it covers are features and controls, image quality settings, recording modes, menu navigation and custom settings, playback & editing, focus modes, flash photography, white balance, settings for shhoting. all in all i liked it but i think the Canon 400d training DVD by blue crane for £19.99 is beter but this one is nearly half that price which is why i think it is good value.
