- Not a "Workshop Manual", but interesting non-the-less
A rather comprehensive coverage of the entire Apollo programme, from background to the last Apollo flight and even slightly beyond. It goes into reasonable depth explaining techical solutions and challenges, although with the "Workshop Manual" subtitle, one would perhaps expect even more detail. Still, this is a good and comprehensive book about Apollo, and an interesting read.

- Geek-tastic
For anybody with an interest in the moon landings no matter how small, this book is informative, interesting and a pleasure to read. This is a Haynes manual and so there are some simple parts suitable for anybody and some technical parts for those that really want to know the ins and outs of how it all works. An excellent purchase!

- apollo 11
for any one interested in the apollo program this is a good read all the energy that the usa put into this program in the short space of time from the first mercury flights to skylab seems to have been lost and it does ask the question if ever man will undertake such an endeavor again

- I just wish I DID own one!
What a fantastic book. I remember the range of books that my older brothers and their friends used to buy from this publisher in the late 80s in an attempt to get to know their Hillmans and Corollas better but when I saw this I just had to have it as I am a real Apollo buff working in the space sector. No sooner had it arrived and I shared it with my colleagues it had disappeared on its rounds between propulsion engineers to Life Supports Systems groups. I managed a ten minute flick through it and was not disappointed. Everything was familiar to me from the many technical manuals I have read on Apollo but in this book everything was under one roof, so to speak. I don't reckon I'll see that book for many months now but I am happy knowing that it is being put to good use somewhere.
And the authors have a sense of humour, too. Owener's Manual? Yeah, sure! Whoever gets back to the moon first can use it to help kick start one of thze six landers still there! Highly recommended for the techie and non-techie manned space enthusiast!

- Absolutely superb
Considering its relatively modest size and copious illustrations this book packs an amazing amount of information into its 190 pages. I'm something of an Apollo nut and thought I knew quite a lot about the subject before I read this Haynes manual. From the reasons why the astronauts needed a sextant to the origin of the punctuating beeps in the converstations between earth and space this book answered questions that dozens of other accounts had not answered. Brilliantly researched, beautifully written and absolutely essential for anyone interested in space.
