This book bubbles with life and interest. Wonderful writing depicting a family overflowing with love and vivacity.

What can one say? If this isn't the best book about childhood ever written, I'd like to know what is. Five stars are not sufficient.

Beautiful story, wonderfully written. The condition of the book was disappointing. It was for a gift and I felt unable to give this book in the condition it was in.

I bought this old favourite to give a little later to my Grandaughter. The book was in very good condition ( considering the purchase price!) I was very pleased with the service I received. The story is a lovely look at the country around Stroud and the people who used to live there.It is near to where my daughter and family live, and is a slice of social history written in an unforgettable way.

Cider with Rosie is a very special book. I read it when I was seventeen, and reread it last month, when I'm 57! If you can't learn somthing about humanity from this book then you are heartless and miss the point of being alive. The final chapter, written about a time between the wars, can tell us more about modern life, ASBO's and youth culture than many a dissertation about life in the year 2009! Read it and learn!
