So another diary-type book is all the rage, and OK, it is a lite read for the bathroom, beach or possibly a commute where you are not actually the driver.
There are a few good jokes about contemporary fads, but it soon wears thin, and while the plot is taken from 'Pride And Prejudice', Helen Fielding is no Jane Austen.
I would borrow a copy rather than buy one, if you can, as this probably won't take pride of place in your permanent collection.

- the film is so much better, and it has colin firth
Now I am getting worried here, Bridget worries about wavering between 8 and 9 stone in wieght and,(shock horror) her thighs have a circumference of 18 inches. Now i am definatly not fat but i weigh 10 and a bit and my thighs are bigger than 18 inches, do I now have something to worry about? The film is so much better and is a bit more realistic than the book, some of the book is rather stupid. Quite funny in parts but go to the cinema, that will re-affirm your faith in Bridget!
Rating:
- It's OK To Worry
Helen fielding captures the esence of every woman whether we like it or not! yes all women worry about love, life and the size of their bottom, even if just in private. An inovative style of the times, influncing that of Arabella Weir, Jenny Collagan and Lisa Jewel, the dear diary update lets bridget become your friend. Bridget gives us the reasurance that all though we all want a carea and equalitly nothing beats the love of a good man , although she has trouble finding it. So grap a cold bottle of Chardonay, a packet of cigs and currle up on the sofa and be prepaired to seek affinity.

Excellant read. Can't think of a girl who won't relate to this book & find herself reminissing of times when such crazy things have happened in ones own life. Very hard to put down.. READ IT!!

- You have to pause to laugh
An excellent book, although it is a little slow in places. Once you have overcome the format of the book, it is a scream. A book that both sexes can enjoy. (If a bloke wants to know all those secrets we could never let them know)
