- Brilliant.
One of his best.Death wants to be human, he is tired of knowing everything that ever was and ever will be.So he hides away as a farm worker under the name of Bill Door.People stop dying properly and the discworld runs riot.It is a brilliant book and well worth buying.

- Excellent and very very funny!
What can I say, this book is truly magical. The very concept of the novel is bizarre; that Death could get fed up of his job and go off to do something different, like everyone else. Inevitably, the consequences of having the position of Death in the 'Situations Vacant' column, are amusing to say the least; but one 130-year old wizard (supposed to be dead) really does have the time of his life. Definitely one of the best Pratchetts.

- Great - what more can i say???
I'm still reading this book, and it's got me in stiches! It's basically about DEATH who's got the sack from some gods because he's started to get a personality. DEATH has now got a life, and is searching for work, so he get's a job on a farm, cutting corn with his scythe. - The problem is, without DEATH there'll be trouble! Windle Poons, a 130-year-old wizard, died and then came back to life as an undead wizard!! A superb read!! Funny!! Great!!

- One of my favourites in the series
I started on the series almost a decade back, and have enjoyed all the books tremendously. This is certainly one of books I am most fond of however, in large part because Death is really my favourite character.

- A MOST AMAZING BOOK!
With just discovering the Discworld series within the last year. I have been reading them in order. Each time I read one I think "This one is it..this one is the best." Then I go onto the next one and I can't make up my mind again. Now we come to the wonderful story of Reeper Man. This is the BEST of the books! Not the funniest or the most dramatic, but the ending is WONDERFUL! I had to wait on reading the next ont to go and reread it, because it was just wonderful to read. For the people saying that the series is formulmatic they never have really looked at any other series of more than four or five books. I think the way Pratchett takes bits (sometines huge chunks!) of reality and places it onto the Disc is wonderful. The wonderful humor in the books is of great reachablity. It's not to remote on the most part. (Look at the L-space on the web to find out all of the annotations on his books. That's really cool.) As an American I cheer on Terry and hope he continuse to do another 22 more!
