harry potter and the order of the phoenix

this is a wonderful book that deserves all the praise that it can get. it is a wonderful book that has you captivated until the end and wantng more.it has everything from the quidditch cup final to the madness of Professor Umbridge. he is a hero that is misundersttod and who should be better respected. sirius is wonderful in this book and Harry loves the fact that he is there and that he can lean on him when he needs it and always turns to him for help.So it is a huge emotional blow when Sirius is killed by Sirius' cousin Bellatirx Lestrange.Harry tries to avenge this in his heartbroken state and runs after her to try and make her pay. this book may look long but when you start reading it you absolulty will not be able to put it down until you finish it.Harry hates a lot of things about this year especially professor umbridge because she bullies him and she also takes away everything he loves like quidditch and makes him write into his own flesh that leaves him with a ascar onhis hand.

- I LOVE IT!!!
This is excellent despite what people say. They say it is too long which it isn't and if you can't read a book that long well then you may as well not be reading Harry Potter. The book makes Harry out to be angry at Ron and Hermoine for a little at the start but it dose'nt last long and he soon goes to school and meets the meanest defence against the dark arts teacher ever, I think she's worse then Snape. He also has terrible nightmares about Voldemort and Cedrics death but he still manages and has his OWLs, which are his examinations, it is excellent and should be read.

- Comparison between English and American versions.
I have read all the Harry Potter books published in England and have found them to be far superior to the editions printed in the U.S. by Scholastic.
The original versions have a more challenging vocabulary and better spelling
for the readers. My grandchildren borrowed my English versions til I could get their own copies as they found the American books to be "dumbed down".

- a very good read
A latecomer to the world of Harry Potter and having by now read the first four books and been lead further into the parallel world of wizardry and witchcraft, I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Order of the Phoenix and am now looking forward to The Half-Blood Prince. These novels are well written and constructed.
