This is not so much a story of one man's strength in the face of adversity as it is the story of how the power of God can overcome life's most daunting obstacles. I also recommend The Prayer of Hannah by Kenn Gividen.

Rating: - Wake up Church!

Having just been to a conference at which Brother Yun was speaking I was inspired to read his testimony. As with everybody else I know who has read this remarkable book I have been thoroughly challenged and inspired in my only spiritual life. How often do we walk away from far less difficult situations and hide our light under a bushel when, as we read with Brother Yun, there are people across the world suffering and seeing incredible demonstrations of God's power. If you want to be fired up with passion for Jesus again, this is a good place to start the fire burning!

Rating: - Marvellous And Fantastic Book!

This book is a story far more interesting than Harry Potter, far more truthful that Star Wars, and the story is far more painful than Anne Frank! This book will shatter your old beliefs and measurements about the magnitude of faith and open your eyes to see that there's no limit to how faithful we can be to God. Prepared to be deeply moved, deeply encouraged and personally revived. The stories in this book seem so fake because never in our worst nightmares have we thought of being persecuted as badly as Paul was back then. Guess what : THE STORY IS REAL !!

Rating: - A great blessing and challenging read!

I would heartily recommend this book as a real eye-opener as to what the Lord is doing in Asia. DL Moody once said " The World is yet to see what God can do with a man totally dedicated to Him." Here in Brother Yun, we are privileged to read of how God can mightily use a man who gives up everything for His Lord. It's amazing how "principlalities and nations" are overcome when God has men who are faithful to Him in all things.Those who come to know the Lord through Brother Yun often have nothing in material wealth, but everthing in spiritual terms.
Read it and gain a blessing, and be challenged.

Rating: - Deeply challenging

This is the most thought-provoking book I've read for many years. It it often disturbing and yet so compelling I read it in 2 days. Somehow it gave me a heart-sore hunger for God's presence. The realisation of God's sustaining power in the teeth of persecution and torture is a wonder. Brother Yun's humility, humanity and the gritty reality of his daily relationship with God shine through. I cant recommend it highly enough. It is filled with the reality of Jesus on every page.
