Rating: - A Gift From God.............

This book is a gift from God to us in this end times. It will make you realise how unworthy you are in your own faith with the Lord. No words is good enough for this book and the faith that was shown by Brother Yun was beyond comprehension. It's a story of Peter in the 21st century; how God opened prison gates for his faithful servant Brother Yun. You just have to read it because if you don't, you've just missed a gift from God. God Bless you and may He speak to you the way He has to me through this wonderful book.

Rating: - A powerful & challenging read!!!

I finished reading this book a week ago. WOW!!!

This book is definately NOT to be read by those who are not prepared to have their faith seriously challenged.

It is the story of how Brother Yun suffered tremendous persecution & prison for his faith. It is a remarkable testimony of God's grace. All the way through the book Brother Yun never seeks to give glory to himself, he continually gives all the glory to Jesus.

One of our pastors at the Bible college mentioned what an awesome book it was and so half of the students have been reading it. Already having a compassion for the persecuted church I expected to be challenged, but while I was reading it I found myself asking the questions, 'how real is my faith', 'how much do I really love Jesus?', 'would I be willing to suffer so much for the Lord and for my faith?, etc.

It has brought me to a whole new place of really questioning how genuine my faith is, and how 'easy' and 'comfortable' church is (mostly) for us in the west.

I would highly recommend this to those who are prepared to be challenged.

Powerful stuff!!

Rating: - Wow... what more can I say?

I have to admit, when someone first handed me this book, my instant reaction was "great, another book about how some poor soul came to Christ, just what I don't need!" I couldn't have been more wrong! Within pages I had tears in my eyes, reading this story of one man who didn't have a special Christian upbringing or anything, in fact quite the opposite, and yet came through everything that life through at him, still worshipping and praising the Lord. And yet, as the introduction says, Brother Yun did not write this testimony to glorify himself, and not once do you get the impression that he did. Through everything he writes, he never forgets, nor lets the reader forget that God is behind everything. Sadly, I had the misfortune to miss Brother Yun when he spoke at out church, and I really regret it having read this book. He is a man who has been truly blessed by the Lord, and anyone who reads this book will be truly inspired and encouraged with their own ministries. If you never buy another book again, buy this one!!!

Rating: - Victory over Intense Persecution

A must for any Bible believing 'Western' Christian to read. You will not be able to put this book down, it will challenge your faith to the core and lead you back to the cross. We certainly do not understand what Brother Yun went through in order to proclaim Christ and yet my heart aches for an intimacy with the Lord that Yun has.

Please do not read this book unless you are prepared to undergo radical change in your life, the Bible will be the next book that you read.

This truly is a remarkable story and I whole-heartedly recommend it.
