- A Disturbing Look At Abe Lincoln...
We've all seen it - or bits of it, at least. We've all seen the hamster scurrying through the tube. We've all seen the long, cylindrical objects. We've all seen the workout sequence. Some bits are lost on us, and some little homosexual tricks are perfectly understood, for whatever reason (I'd have to give thanks to South Park and Family Guy for explaining the hamster reference to me). Whether or not you can stomach watching it again is entirely down to personal taste.
Obviously, I can.
The video is a brilliant follow up to Danger! High Voltage, and it's understandable - for image reasons - why they held this for the second single. Nevertheless, it's a noble attempt by any standard, and if it does nothing else, it should at least convince you to buy Fire (the album from which this single was taken). It's a great video for a great song taken from a great album. Also, if you want my advice, I would pick this one up quickly - MTV refuses to show it, and a lot of the other channels are following suit after a particularly heated protest from a parent action group. Pick it up as soon as possible, as it is HIGHLY reccomended.

- I've Got Somthing To Put In You...
Not fully satisfied with purchasing the single Gay Bar, I purchased the DVD version as well, just to see what all the hype was about. And I was not disappointed. What could be better than spending the night than watching vocalist Dick Valentine, dressed as a half-naked US president, pole-dancing and singing 'I've got something to put in you'? Exactly. And that's only the start - if you watch closely at the end (by this time, ladies, you'll be slavering at the TV set) you'll notice Dick doing something very, erm, dirty to the statue ( whilst on his knees. Enough said). Along with very camped-up yet cheeky lyrics, to match the equally outrageous video, it's sure to liven up your day. Just a word of warning...don't show this video to your granny...

- Decent song, shame about the rest
Gay Bar is, quite simply, the most hilarious song I've come across in years. It's quirky, bizarre, and extremely cheeky.
Americans, I'm sure, will be up in arms regarding the video, showing Dick Valentine as many versions Abraham Licoln in tight shorts, stroking themselves, and wielding pepper shakers.
I don't care, I think it's wonderful.
The thing is, while the song is fantastic, the DVD iteslf is not as impressive. The video for hte song is STILL censored when it comes to "Let's start a war", which is disappointing to say the least. Also, the Peaches remix is just dire. I mean, really awful. The final track is back to Electric Six themselves, but as with the B-sides on "Danger! High Voltage", this is less inspiring.
In short, Gay Bar is a great song, but you'd be better off getting the CD.

- I've got something to put in you...
First of all, I want to state that I don't actually own this, but I've seen the video, and as soon as this is released, I'm gonna buy it.
It is the most funniest, original music video I've probably ever seen, together with a brilliant rock song. Abraham Lincoln as you've never seen him before... ;)
