- It's all about Patrick
This DVD is fully packed with lots of extras interviews and such. The transfer is great in Dolby 5.1 with enhanced wide screen for 16:9. This is a must DVD to complete your Star Trek movie collection with lots of action and a great story line. There is not much in Romulan encounters in the history of Star Trek so this movie trully shows the Romulans in all there glory.
I must admit though that 80% of the movie is played around Patrick Stewart which in my opinion is the best captain in all the Star Trek episodes and movies.
This movie has something for everyone whether your a Trekkie or not so don't hesitate and put this movie on the top of your list of must have's.

- Worst Film Ever
It pains me to say this being a Star Trek fan and all that this is properly the worst film I have ever watched.
Lame plot, lame acting, lamest bad guy.
Its was so painfully embarrassing to watch.
Bring back Kirk!

- Do I have to give it one star?
Don't bother with this one especially if you are a trekie.
Most of the trek films are watchable, even the one with the silly story line about the last of the wales. OK it was daft but still watchable. Trek films can also usually be watched and understood by non trekies a good sci-fi romp even if the viewer has never seem an episode of the TV series.
This film, however, has no redeeming features whatsoever!
It is not the actors fault. They do the best they can with dire and unconvincing dialogue. It is clearly the screenplay, script and directing that has let this one down. This movie proves that you can’t make a good film just by throwing money at the special effects department of an otherwise lucrative franchise.
The plot is basically good guys vs bad guys in a plot lifted straight from James Bond. The villain is just so Bond villain. I think he was just in the wrong film. “Ah, Captain Picard, I’ve been expecting you.”
My wife was not quite so forgiving. She thought the villain was lifted from Austin Powers. I guess a case of not quite so mini-me.
I don't usually post reviews, but this film was just so dire I felt I had to. Amazon has so much good Sci-fi , I suggest you make the most of it rather than buy this one. If you still feel you must buy this film, rent it first - or better still just borrow a copy. You have been warned.

- Strongest Star Trek Plot
From the assassination of the Romulan Senate to the sacrafice of one of Star Trek's favourite characters, Nemesis has the strongest plot of any Star Trek film and a big improvement on Insurection. The 1 disk DVD which will be released on 4th of August 2003 includes the film itself, 7 deleated scenes running to almost 20 mins, 4 featurettes(including an interview with director Stuart Baird) and a huge photo gallery. I would highly recommend it to even the most casual Star Trek viewer.
Rating:
- Nemesis
This film was frankly very disappointing, little more than an extended tv show with embarrassingly outdated special effects circa 1980 that did nothing to redeem a dull plot with little in the way of drama, excitement, humour or indeed anything that would make it worth watching. One for die-hard fans only.
