- a great film
Although I was Slightly Disapointed that the directer had cut out some very goosd sceans (that i read in the book)ifound the film to be highly enjoyable and well worth buying.there were sections of the computer animated filming that were spectacular aspecially when the two ships collide, and i think it was one of the best films ive seen this year.

- A Worthy Addition to the Franchise
.....but not for everyone. The film may have been touted as 'A Generation's final Journey', and it does look distinctly likey that this will be the final outing for the Next Gen Crew on the big screen.
'Nemesis' at all bad though. First of all, it poses the question - are we defined by nature or nurture. This is brought into question when Jean-Luc Picard is faced with a clone of himself who has led an intirely different life indeed, and thus his goals in life are erm...destructive.
However Nemesis doesn't spend enough time to answer some of the more minor - yet significant questions, focusing on the spectacle. The space battles are at least impressive, and cover over some of the cracks left by the script.
There have been many parallels made to the second Trek film, The Wrath of Kahn. It is true that some elements tat have been sampled (Which have angered more than a few Original Series fans), but to a more casual viewer this won't be a problem.
Nemesis will certainly be of interest to anyone who enjoyed the previous TNG outings on the big screen. 'Non Trek' fans may also find it enjoyable, but it still falls short of matching 1996's first Nex Gen film First Contact.

- Brilliant
In the past I personally have not been able to choose a favourite trek film because almost all of them are outstanding. However, I have to say that Nemesis is my favourite trek film so far. Nemesis brings the normal trek elements together with a exceptional action-packed plot that still includes the humour and compassion that originally made Star Trek popular. This film shows many of the original Star Trek themes/ideas, e.g. 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few' (Data sacrificing himself to destroy the Scimitar) and last minute surprises - finding out that B4 is really Data on the Scimitar (when Picard was taken hostage).
I think that Nemesis could be the last trek film. I think this because out of the Next Generation senior officers only Picard, Worf and Geordi are left (Riker and Troi on the USS Titan, Crusher at Starfleet Medical, Data dead), hardly any Deep Space Nine senior officers are left (Worf became Fed Ambassabor to Kronos/Qo'Nos and then went back to Enterprise-E, O'Brien back on Earth teaching, Odo returning to home world, Sisko 'joins the prophets') and Voyager is back home, and entire purpose of the series and the goal of the crew is gone. This only leaves Enterprise and I don't think that Paramount are prepared to make a Enterprise film yet because Enterprise only has half of the normal Star Trek fans.
Could this be the end of Star Trek...?

- End on a high
A fantastic, dark and action packed tale, which brings the trek universe into a slightly different focus.
Nemesis didn't feel to me like a standard Trek film. A strong trek film for sure but not typical. The pace goes from thrilling to frantic at a moments notice, the battles are intense and have a more serious nature about them than any of the recent films. The story has a strong philosophical point to make, but unlike certain episodes isn't bogged down by it.
I enjoyed Nemesis immensely and the cast and crewe should be proud that they sent the next generation off on a high.
