Average rating - 5.0 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Simply brilliant.

Futurama is in my opinion (and many other peoples) the greatest tv show ever. It's definately better than The Simpsons. Season 2 is noway nere as good as season 3 or season 4 but it's still great (though probably not enough to rival the best Simpsons episodes). This is a must have for anyone, but if you've never seen Futurama, go for season 3 first.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - worth 6 stars

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Futurama-The Next Season

Season 2 is another great achievement of Matt Groening, and David X. Cohen. I enjoyed it because of the episode with SANTA! (Xmas Story) where Christmas is known as ex-mass and a robotic Santa tries to kill everyone. Another good one to see is Anthology of Interest I. The what if? machine sees what it would be like if Bender was an iron giant(vs. Zoidberg), if Leela was more impulsive(murders everyone) and if Fry hadn't come to the year 3000(destruction of universe).

It is a must see collection of DVD's and you can't miss it. With 20 episodes, ranging from Mom taking over the world to the professors clone, and from Richard Nixon's head becoming president of earth, to Bender as a were-car. One of the best!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Polished and near-perfect

In just a few words, this is an absolutely top-notch series of a grossly underrated cartoon from an established comedy genius. I wasn't enthralled with Futurama the first few times I watched it, but after I bought this I fell in love with it and now watch it religiously. Of course it'll never quite match the unrivalled genius of The Simpsons (in its early days, many would argue) but its classic moments often recall those days, and even a die-hard Simpsons fan like me can't deny that Futurama is frequently much more surreal and even taboo than the yellow guys were. It's impressively packed with gags, it often seems every other line is a joke or a spoof of some description. Here it's definitely grown from a relatively mediocre spawn of its predecessor into a full-blown unabashed sci-fi extravaganza, and is also much longer at 19 episodes!
We continue to watch pizza boy Philip Fry fumble his way through the world of the future with his 'distant nephew', borderline-insane scientist Prof Farnsworth, and their various dysfunctional companions - marvellously, nearly all of whom are given their own episode here! Bender remains the funniest character but Dr. Zoidberg is almost as good - see the touching tale of "Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love?".
My personal favourites here are "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" in which the little-used Hermes gets a rare chance to shine, and of course, THAT song at the end; and the less raved-about "War Is The H-Word" - in which Fry, Leela and Bender wind up joining the war against the Balls of Spheron 1 - with its superb parodies of M*A*S*H ("When will the killing end?") and Starship Troopers. And you just can't fail to laugh at the alien judge in "Brannigan, Begin Again" ("I'm going to allow this".)
Groening has scored once again with this winning animation, and if you love The Simpsons, you won't be disappointed with this. A great shame it has left us before its time.

Rating: 4 of out 5 - Futurama Complete Second Season

Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Futurama. These 4 "Adult" Cartoon shows broadcast by Fox are all great in their own way. Sadly Family Guy and Futurama, which i thought could have even beat the Simpsons were cancelled after only a short run. I don't know what fox was thinking but Family Guy never really got established. Back to Futrama however, unlike the Simpsons, it's first season, since it was started by Matt Groening in about 1999, had highly polished and well done animation. Also unlike the simpsons, its animation hasnt changed drastically which I think is fine cause it's really great. The first season was awesome, the only drawback was its 13 episodes is a little short. This, along with simpsons season 3 are the ones I've been waiting for. All episodes from season 2 plus three from season 3 are rumored to be on this set. The complete list is as follows (19 episodes) Running Time: over 7 hours =)

1. I second that emotion
2. Brannigan begin again
3. A head in the polls
4. Xmas story
5. Why must I be a crustacean in love?
6. Put your head on my shoulder
7. Lesser of two evils
8. Raging bender
9. A bicyclops built for two
10.How Hermes requisitioned his groove back
11.A clone of my own
12.The deep south
13.Bender gets made (AKA Bendfellas)
14.The problem with popplers
15.Mother's day
16.Anthology of interest I
17.War is the h-word
18.The honking
19.The cryonic woman

Bottom Line:
Pure Genius
