Rating: 5 of out 5 - A True classic cartoon

What a season of one of the best cartoons, but perhaps one of the more unknown .It's a shame really because Futurama is really better than other cartoons like the simpsons.
For people who have bought the first futurama season and who are wanting more , this season certainly does not dissapoint. This has to be one of the fuuniest seaons of anything ! The jokes are some of the funniest you can get in a cartoon !
For people reading this who don't know much about Futurama , and have only seen it a few times this is still great , and it's easy watching. You'd regret not buying it !

Rating: 5 of out 5 - FUTURTASTIC!

Futurama is THE hippest and funniest animated TV show out there, even surpassing The Simpsons in many ways, as much as I adore those yellow dudes. Futurama has never quite reached as many people as The Simpsons has, despite an array of fantastic characters. If you haven't yet seen it, then now is your chance to buy!
The episodes in season 2 are on a par with those in season 1. Among the best are Xmas Story (featuring John Goodman as a bad, bad Santa!), A Bicyclops Built For Two (Leela discovers another Cyclops - Al - and goes to live with him), and Put Your Head On My Shoulders, where Fry's head gets attached to Amy's body after a nasty, nasty accident!
The characters in Futurama, whatever their species, all have their own personalities and human sides to them. Leela's search for her identity is extremely touching, and you sympathise with her loneliness in the episode A Bicyclops Built For Two. This episode is also hilarious, as Al (the other cyclops) forces Leela to dress in trashy clothes and have big hair. The remarks from the bickering two are cutting - Leela says to Al that the three things he needs are "mouthwash, a back wax and stain proof underwear!" Ouch!
Dr Zoidberg is there for pure comedy value. In one scene, in Bender Gets Made where the gang can't afford a ridiculously over-priced meal, Hermes says, "we can't afford that, especially Zoidberg". Zoidberg then lowers his head and says "they took away my credit cards!" And, in the Cryonic Woman, where the crew crash into the building, Hermes says "that's coming out of your wages!", prompting poor Zoidberg to cry hysterically. Zoidberg rules, although the episode dedicated to him is so-so.
Fry is great, a bit of a bone-head, who wouldn't know what common sense was if it came and slapped him in the face. Bender is a kleptomaniac robot who laughs at the misfortune of others, and is by far and away the best character in terms of the lines that he gets. Amy, the Chinese girl from an exceedingly wealthy family, is great, and Hermes is funny as the West Indian bureaucrat.
Futurama has the type of humour that fans of The Simpsons and Friends will love. It has bitchy one liners, and biting put-downs. One thing to say - roll on season three!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - TV comedy at its best

The second box set of Futurama shows the characters developing even more and the allows further glimpses of the sheer scope of the universe they inhabit. Sadly, Fox somehow missed their potential and cancelled the series, but there you go.

Some of Futurama’s best episodes are on these disks – Dr Zoidberg shines very brightly here, there are hilarious film references you can feel a some shame-tinted geek pride in spotting, and the animation is beautiful.

Special features are a bit thin, and the commentary is a bit weak – but the primary material here, the episodes, is strong, you really just don’t care. Genius.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Some of the best comedy in years

I loved the Simpsons but now I love Futurama.
The writing is outstanding and how they portray it is fantastic. The Characters are extreamly funny (Dr Zoidberg being a personal favourite).
The thing that set's Futurama apart from the rest is that it is familiar (same comedy and drawing design as the simpsons) yet it takes it to the next level by taking it 1000 years into the future.
Leela is a wonderful creation, she is someone for Fry to be with and share his pain, Bender is a Robot with his heart in the right place but needs attention. Dr. Zoidberg is a character to get laugh's out of. He has one episode about him which I think is fantastic, probably my favourite.
Another of my favourite episodes is "How Hermes Requesitioned his groove back." It has a cool song at the end and is a feel good episode.
The simpsons are a classic, Futuram takes it to the next level. Fantastic. BUY IT!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - What Can I Say. He Has Done It Again

Unbelievable. Matt Groening and David Cohen have done it again. As you should know, Matt Groening was the creator of the ever popular Simpsons and David Cohen was a writer. Matt Groening obviousely still has it. I Own Futurama Season 1 and 2 on DVD and i definately reccommend them.

If you don't know the story, then Ill tell you.

In the first episode (on Series 1) Fry is making a pizza delivery and falls into a cryogenic freezer. The freezer is set for 1000 years and he wakes in the Year 3000 to find that Robots walk the streets and there are such things as suicide booths.

This second series continues the fun from Season 1. If you are a big futurama fan, like me, i would DEFINATELY reccommend this product for you. You can watch these hilarious episodes over and over.

One episode that sticks out in my mind is "Raging Bender". In this episode, Bender (the robot) is thought to have punched the lights out of the Robot Wrestling League's (cant remember the exact name) biggest stars. He is then hired by the manager of the Wrestling League and becomes an instant hit. He is called Bender the Offender! Towards the end, Bender is forced to become a heel (bad guy) and is forced to wear womens clothes as he becomes the Gender Bender! Hilarious

With lovable characters like Fry, Proffesor Farnsworth and Leela. And such funny and original characters like Dr Zoidberg, Amy , Bender and Zap Brannigan all make the whole Futurama experience irresistable. From the moment you first watch it until the last episode ever, you will love their thrills and spills of living in the year 3000.
