- Off the wall and in your head
Having not seen the first series and with a friend panting about how bizzare this program was, I was crowbarred into watching the last episode of series 2 "The Nightmare Of Milky Joe". To say that I was gobsmacked would be playing it down. Frankly, I didn't know what to make of it - I had laughed out loud through the episode, but was so mind boggled by the abstract humour, I really couldn't make up my mind.
However...
I carried on watching...
And have become hooked. This is really funny. Having now watched a couple of the episodes twice, there are some absolutely genius moments, particularly in the more subtle aspects of the characters.
The Old Gregg episode is simply outstanding. If I can leave you with a line...
"Old Gregg. Legendry Fish. Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70 - 30 split. Whatever the percentage... he's one fishy .."

- The Mighty Boosh - Series 2
Unfortunately series 2 didnt live up to the original. I had high hopes for this series but was disappointed.
Vince and Howard are no longer zookeepers but live in a flat together with naboo. There are more characters - old and new - and some funny one-liners. The sets are not as dodgy as the first series but thats what added to its charm.
Although disappointed I would still recommend for Mighty Boosh fans - even if only for the last episode of the series, which is a must see as it lives up to the original humour. (You`ll never look at a coconut the same way again!)

- Here's a s close as you can get to Baileys without your eyes getting wet
I saw series 2 before series 1, and I definitely think it's superior. So do all my furry friends. It uses the tv format to its full potential, with more action, sets, effects and tunes. These are present in the first series but to a much lesser extent, generally taking the form of an episode climax after a load of talky talky. A lot more like the radio show. Anyway, the fabulous banter between Howard and Vince is still here, trimmed, cropped and with a cheeky fringe. The brilliant Rich Moore is in every episode in way or another. And there are some great characters in here. Buy this DVD.

- Can I give it six stars ?
The Mighty Boosh was created to be weird.I can`t believe so-called Boosh fans can complain that it is a bit too far-fetched in this second series.
After 8 episodes I think it was time the Zooniverse was left behind for the odd couple to go on some more utterly ridiculous adventures. You WILL NOT be disappointed by this second series. It`s just plain stupid...and stupid is best.

- Still Genius
I think the other reviews of this DVD are pretty harsh. I got into the Boosh while accidentally catching some of the second series during its first late-night showing on BBC3. I don't think that the second series is inferior to the first (I own both on DVD), it's just different.
The Boosh needed to get out of the Zooniverse. It'd be done and it was time to freshen things up. The new series features much more of Naboo and Bollo, who are very funny, and for my money the less we see of Richie Fulcher, especially as Bob Fossil, the better! Saying everything at the top of your voice doesn't automatically make it funny.
I think the second series is more atmospheric than the first and I can't believe a previous comment about The Nightmare of Milky Joe - I think that's one of the best episodes there is!
Buy this DVD now. You won't be disappointed. Here is a genuinely original, hilarious and clever series, and even if you don't think it's as good as the first, that's a pretty standard to meet anyway!
