- Good to Go !
Ordered the product, installed it, and it works just fine. No problems what so ever...and that's a first for my computer and i !
I'm not going to try and blind you with techno speak, because i don't know any ! All i can tell you is it does the job intended, and it's a cheap upgrade for my ever ageing computer.

- Works For The Most Part
First off, if you're getting this for a Windows Vista pc then you will need to download Vista drivers from Linksys's website; the included drivers are for Windows XP and do not work.
Other than that, it's a good deal I suppose. It tends to disconnect from the router randomly, at which point i usually reset the router. That's because it's a faster solution, the problem is actually the adapter itself. I've checked this with other devices connected wirelessly to the router at the same time; my xbox and my psp. Both devices never disconnect from the router. I'm not sure if it's because i'm using it with Vista, or because it's powering down due to inactivity (an issue in itself since resetting the adapter means fiddling about in device manager or cycling the pc off and back on again), or maybe i simply have a dodgy unit. The xbox is in the same position as the pc, so it's not a signal loss issue either.

- Good once you get it going.
I purchased one of these, along with a LINKSYS router.
It was easy to set up in the PC, but a bit of a fiddle to get going.
Reception was all over the place. I had to move the router and PC about in the different rooms to get a decent signal.
But now it is working, it works well.

- Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter USER FRIENDLY
Absolutely the most seemless installation process(Windows XP 2004). USER FRIENDLY. The WIFI card comes with a large antenna. Its also got seperate Windows Vista process.
Started off with CD driver. Only lasted several minutes and with about 4- mouse clicks. When CD process finished, it stated clearly that the PC will shutdown and continue after you insert the WIFI adaptor into the PCI slot.
Once card got fitted, i switched on the PC. It booted up as normal with no slowdowns. After Windows XP recognised the new hardware, the next step of the installation appeared without long delays. It instantly displayed the wireless networks. Once i chose my network, it requested the WEP keys within my secured wireless network. This was done within 2 clicks.
Before i knew it, i had internet access!
5/5
