Rating: - effective coolingBought to solve overheating Samsung 15" laptop. Works well. Looks well. Useful pass-through USB lead (plugs into the laptop to power the two fans and doesn't reduce the number of ports. Cheaper than buying a new laptop. Usable on desk or on your lap (best on a desk). Portable also - light and might fit in your laptop bag with the laptop. Two power settings - I needed to use the highest. Noise level is very acceptable. Rating: - Helps my ancient Alienware avoid BSOD.I've had this cooler (or possibly an earlier model, but looks identical) for years. It still works, and it's essential if I am to attempt to use my old Green Alienware Area-51 laptop for more than about ten minutes without it BSODing. Rating: - Good but not for allThis cooler is great for laptops that over heat from the bottom of the unit, my other laptop though channels the hot air out the left hand side (Samsung Q320) and it doesnt really help cool that area. Rating: - Really gets the job doneHaving used the Antec Notebook Cooler for less than fifteen minutes with my 13" Macbook, the CPU temperature dropped from 87 degrees to 49. Other components were cooled just as well, so this thing really does work well. It's quite loud when operating, but I think that's to be expected. The fact that the supplied USB cable allows for another USB device to be attached is really nice too. The only reason it gets four stars instead of five is because of the LED "on" light: it's so bright, it's impossible to see where the switch is! Rating: - Antec Notebook CoolerThis note book cooler was recommended by a freind in preference to cheaper versions and I'm glad I took the advice. I have an ageing laptop that got hot quite quickly and I was worried I'd burn it out. This cooler has worked fantastically and I can now work for hours without any problems and the cooler fans are quiet. I think this cooler is designed to be put on a desk but I regularly use it on my lap and it is comfortable and weighs hardly anything. Very pleased with the cooler and the supplier.
