- A waste of time and money.
I read the mixed reviews about how easy/difficult it was to set this product up and decided to give it a go....... Big mistake!
Many, many hours later I gave up and called in our local computer shop geek.
Another 2 hours (and £30) later the geek gave up and advised me to buy the adapter from Microsoft. Recieved the new Microsoft Xbox adapter and my son had it running in 2 mins.
If you have a really good knowledge of networks and are willing to take a risk then you can save £20 and buy this. My advice is that its not worth the hassle.

- A LOAD OF RUBBISH
This item is a load of utter rubbish I warn you DO NOT GET IT it's incredibly difficult to Install and I just gave up on it I had it up at 1 point however I had to phone Linksy up to find out how to Install it which cost me £30 when I had it up it kept disconecting so I just gave up on it.
I originally got it for Xbox live however I think that the reason why it kept disconecting is because my PC and my wireless-G broadband router is downstairs and my Xbox was upstairs so maybe the wall and stuff block some of the connection, however the Installation is incredibly complicated so If I where you I'd save my money up and if your after Xbox live to be up using an Adaptor I'd suggest that you use the Xbox 360 Wireless Bridge, it may be expensive but it is highly worth it and it's far better than this worthless rubbish that is just a money wasting Product in my opinion.

- Very useful and easy to install
Only problem was that my laptop could not initially connect to the adapter in order to configure it. By temporarily switching off my laptops own wireless connection i found that the adapter had been found. From there the adapter found my wireless network and automatically entered all the details it needed. I am now able to connect to xbox live with ease and without wires.
Great product

- Linksys WGA54G WIrelsss Game Adapter
I bought this item thinking it would be easy as pie to set up seeing as I already have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. HOW WRONG COULD I BE!!! I spent around 6 hours trying to set it up wit hmy Xbox and no matter what settings I used it just wouldn't connect to my wireless network. The manual supplied with it is useless and just confused me more. I gave up trying after 6 hours, after a few days I decided to give it another go, plugged it into my xbox anbd it worked straight away. I didn't change any settings and I still have no idea why it suddenly decided to work but now its up and running it works like a dream.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is even the slightest bit unsure of what they are doing and even if you do know what you are doing it is definitely not as easy as it sounds to set up!!!

- No problems for me, bought a second one
It's two months since I bought and installed the first of these and, to be honest, I was really surprised when I just read other reviews and saw a range of negative comments.
I installed with a PS2 and true it was a total pain, but the network adapter was working immediately... it was the PS2 net registration that was poorly documented and utterly confusing. Even setting it to widescreen mode for my widescreen TV (surely standard now?) took ages to find the odd place to do the setting.
The Gaming Adapter worked so well and so easily that we then bought a second one (and a wireless router) and installed at a friend's house. From start to finish the whole installation of router to replace a usb modem and the gaming adapter and PS2 net adapter was completed and working inside 30 minutes. Compared with several hours of figuring it out the first time, it really highlighted to me how utterly rubbish the PS2 registration instructions were!
I have to give this product all 5 stars because it was easy to set up, worked instantly, and has given no problems at all. But allow time and keep a cool head when registering a PS2!
Rob.
