- Does the job but is under-powered
Like other reviewers have noted, this won't work well with devices that draw power from USB, so printers, scanners and modems will all struggles with this. It wouldn't even work properly with my ipod.
With that being said, it's great for USB keys and wireless mice etc and you can add a PSU.

- Well Made
I have several Belkin USB Hubs and this is very neat and tidy.
All in all a very good product.

- Nice little product WORKS WELL FOR ME
Having ordered a new Dell Notebook I soon realised that three USB internal hubs were not enough so fortunately this was the first Belkin product i purchased.
It is very neat and compact and for the basic computer work such as email and Ebaying that i do it serves its purpose beautifully, and over the six months i have used mine it has never let me down. The lovely glow that emits from each port that is being used is a nice addition and very soothing at night.
Possibly if you use much more powerfull equipment then the hub may complain but for general home use its a dream to use.

- Works if not loaded - under powered and too light
Nice little hub, gets the job done, supports USB2 speeds well. Supports 4 devices if none draw much power - BUT it is incapable of supporting more than 2 peripherals that require more than very slight amounts of power via the hub (indeed once I have a Speedtouch ADSL modem on it I can't power anything else). You get power overload messages and devices may be "lost". I notice some other Belkin hubs are criticised for this.
Also, its so small and light that the weight (or simply the stiffness) of cables pull it about. Stackable? only if you fence it in!

- Not a good buy
This hub allows you to connect up to 4 1.1 or 2.0 USB devices to a single USB port on your computer. The hub has an optional power supply - you can connect up to 2 low power devices without the power supply, or up to 4 devices with the power supply. Be aware that some devices (such as my Iomega DVD writer) need a direct connection to a USB port and refuse to work through a hub, so this may not be the solution to all USB swapping problems.
The hub is very small, and they can stack on top of each other, but each has up to 6 leads attached to it (power, USB in, and 4 x USB out) so they still take up more desk space than you might expect. The lead connecting the hub to the power supply fits very loosely, and if I move the hub or accidentally knock it, the lead often pops out, leading to alarming power overload messages all over the screen, and potential data loss if reading or writing to connected devices at the time.
I am using this with a G4 iMac, running OS 10.3. Like another reviewer, if I reboot my machine, it loses the hub, and I have to disconnect the hub from the power supply and reconnect to get it recognised again. To be fair, none of the Belkin documentation claims Mac compatibility. Installation was very easy, just plug it in and connect up the leads. My printer and Wacom graphics tablet work fine through it.
