Rating: 5 of out 5 - Linksys speedbooster a sure thing

Works fine once up and running but some luck needed to get it right first time. Insert the cd which comes with hardware and punch the manual to go to setup. Needs some configuration with your router (WEP key and password etc) but once done it works amazingly well, returning blistering speeds at times.
Recommended hardware.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Very Good

Had this product for some time now and it's been reused in 3 laptops. Reception is very good and it's never let me down. Sometimes take the laptop to external offices and easily connect to other wi-fi networks. Very pleased.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Does what it says on the tin!!!

I have a laptop & a desktop on my network & wanted to add a 2nd laptop, bought this, ran the install CD, slotted in the unit & was online in under 10mins, easy to set up, easy to use & very fast indeed.

Highly recommended.

Rating: 3 of out 5 - WPC54 GS VER2 UK

I FOUND THIS PRODUCT VERY HARD TO INSTALL AND GET TO WORK AT ALL, I HAVE A WIRELESS LAPTOP BUT BANDWITH WAS POOR,SO TRIED THIS CARD,UNFORTUNATELY I CHANGED IT FOR A K CORP KLS 520 PLUGGED IT IN AND HEY PRESTO IT AUTOMATICALLY CONFIGURED ALL THE SETTING TO MY WIRELESS ROUTER JUST BY PUTTING IN THE WEP KEY.NOW GONE FROM 28 MBPS TO 54 MBPS WORK BRILLIANT DOWN THE GARDEN TOO.

Rating: 4 of out 5 - Software Problems

I bought this WPC54GSUK to work in an old IBM T21 ThinkPad running Windows XP SP2. My Linksys WAG54GS UK wireless router is connected to my desktop and works fine. I had installed the Linksys software on the laptop, there was an excellent signal but, although it could ping web sites, the laptop would not download Web Pages in either IE6 or Firefox or AVG virus definitions. After fiddling about with the settings, occasionally it would work, but not consistently. I had almost given up, and Linksys Tech. support couldn't solve the problem. (I hope they read these reviews)
So I thought I'd try a Netgear Card instead. After removing the Linksys software I noticed it said the laptop was still connected using Windows/Start/Connect To. So I tried again to download web pages and "Hey Presto", it worked all the time, even pulling the card out and plugging it in again. I have turned the laptop off and on, many times, and the WPC54GSUK works perfectly every time.
If you are having similar problems, only use the WPC54GSUK drivers from the CD, don't use the Linksys interface software, use XP's Wireless Connections to access the web. Also, disabling the Intel Network Connection in Device Manager on the IBM ThinkPad might have been a contributory helpful factor, as I read that somewhere too.
Anyone want to buy an unused Netgear Card?
