Rating: - Great except for battery life

This is a very intuitive player and it can even be customised by having your own menus on the front page which is very handy if like me you always go to for example the artists menu and don't want to scroll through to the music library first.

The sound quality is excellent and you'll be hearing things you've never heard before in songs you've heard a million times.

The 20GB capacity (19GB in reality) is more than enough for your music but it makes you wonder if it's overkill as there's no support for pictures or video and the mass storage device needs to be set everytime you want to use it unless you don't mind it draining the already limited battery.

I can usually play only around 5-6 hours of music before having to recharge the player. I have my music at 192kbps WMA and have filled roughly half the systems memory.

The special features such as random album, most popular and least popular are a godsend once you start filling your player up but other features such as radio and calendar are far less useful. The radio reception is sketchy and I can't really see a use for date, time and calendar on an mp3 Player.

The software provided - Mediasource and Zen Media Explorer - are comprehensive and simple to use respectively. Mediasource allows you to easily anlayse the tempo and loudness of every track and is able to create smart playlists based on a variety of information or you can use Zen Media Explorer to simply drop files onto your player.

This is a great mp3 player with handy features and easy to navigate menus but if you're planning to take this on holiday then the frequency with which you have to recharge it means you should stay well clear of this. I've had this player for a year now and can thoroughly recommend it.

I have owned this player for just over a year and was very pleased with this until this month when it has been playing up quite a bit - freezing and dying every week or so. Apart from this it is a great player with some excellent features. The voice recorder is a bonus, the software is always very easy to use and the radio is very useful.

Rating: - Broken

I've had it for less than a year and since september, it has been "breaking" on a regular basis. For example, the button stop working, like it is on hold, when it isn't and completely stopping altogether and not being able to turn it off.

Had this item for around 3 months now. Being my first mp3 player, I have nothing to compare it to so bought it based on reviews. I heard battery life wasn't great but 5 hours max is just pants. Software was easy to load and use and found I could use it with Media Centre as well. Capacity-wise, i have loaded around 3500 tunes and only have 3gb left. I realize file size will affect capacity somewhat but to get the stated 10,000 songs on, they would need to be tiny!

Sound is fine and the included case with belt clip is handy for the gym (skips on the running machine though!). Has froze on me once and had to let battery drain although now found the reset thanks to previous review (cheers!). Overall, good value until higher spec models become cheaper.

Rating: - Do NOT touch with a bargepole

I am now on my Third creative Zen mp3 player this year. The first died and refused to switch on after only a few weeks. Amazon replaced this unit extremely quickly and with excellent customer service - thank you Amazon.

However, my replacement had the same problem after only five days of use -two days of which I was loading music onto it!

I finally received my 3rd player - I have had it two weeks and on average the battery is lasting for 40 minutes - not ideal when travelling! I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews when buying this product.

When working, this mp3 player is great! However, I urge you not to spend your money on this product - you will end up dissapointed!
