I bought this to replace my 5gb zen micro, which had a commmon fault that the ear piece stopped working. Zen was even worse... froze on the first night i had it and found that it only worked if i plugged it into my ancient laptop, not my parents faster computer which has most of my mp3's. After having it for 3 months the screen burst making it unusable. Only advantage was not having to sync it to my computer, as my music is stored on two devices!

Rating: - good but freezing

I previously had a zen micro, I must have kept it for only 3 months before deciding I needed to send it back. As much as I did love it, it stored plenty of songs (though could have done with a little more space as I had a 6GB), had the radio on it and it was generally pretty good.
Except the earphones it came with were stupidly uncomfortable and the thing kept freezing. Constantly. To unfreeze it you had to plug it intot he computer and charge it, but if you're stuck out without any music it isn't very pleasant!
I would not recommend these until the glitches are sorted out.

Rating: - Don't Buy Creative

I previously had a Creative Zen Touch and that barely lasted nine months. It would continuously freeze when i was using it and it took a lot of time and effort to unfreeze it. Eventually, after 9 months, it broke completely and so i had to buy a new one.

I chose the Creative Zen as it was the cheapest around. I treated it with lots of care as i didn't want it to break and lose another £150 but, after a week and a half, it froze. None of the buttons worked and i couldn't even turn it off. I pressed the reset button and it turned back on but said it had low battery after i had charged it fully. Eventually i decided to send it back and buy an ipod because they at least work.

Don't buy Creative! They may be cheap but they are unreliable.

Rating: - Best MP3 player for the price.....

I bought my daughter one of these and got one myself last month, and both are just GREAT. If you just want a mp3 player for music and FM radio buy no other. Batterys seem to be the problem in past reviews, but ours are excellent! 9-12 hours play no problem. Remember- only to charge it when the battery is almost out, this will give you a better charge and not damage the battery too. ipods are just over priced yankie rubbish, screen size is too small for video or pictures and the battery is a joke. Zen rip's off cd's and pc's like no other and is eazy to use to. Buy no other..you have been wared!

Rating: - Frozen Out - Twice

I've had two of these. The music quality and radio are good but as both died whilst ripping I wouldn't get another.
Warning don't rip your music when the battery is already full. It continues to charge via the USB, overheats and dies.
