Rating: 4 of out 5 - Rogue Trooper

Oh at last!

Spent years reading this series in the 2000AD comic and tracked down a trade Paperback called "Rogue Trooper-the Future of War" some years ago, so was well pleased with this volume of his adventures as well as the other volume in the series I purchased called "To The Ends of Nu-Earth"

Classic "Future War" strip -highly recommended from when 2000AD was he best comic around-just need to find the classic "Fort Neuro series which was about 22 episodes long (and a bit pricey as well) and the saga is complete.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Rogue Trooper

This is a really superb first book of the Rogue Trooper Progs found in AD 2000 comics. I was really pleased to find there is a collection of the Progs in a sries of books, far more pleasant than wading through endless comic books!

As this is the first book, it gives you the background to Rogue Trooper and how he came about to be cutting around Nu Earth doing his own thing.
The presentation of this collection is superb, a quality binding and one that will definitely be re-read over the years, and an essential book for any fan of The Trooper.

Type in Rogue Trooper on Wikipedia to find out more about Rogue if you don't know the full synopsis of his character/life.

Happy reading!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Rogue Rules!

Boys,
For those of us who were at school during the eighties and who looked forward to seeing our blue skinned hero each week, get this book. Yes, it's in black and white but let's face it who cares. All that matters is seeing Rogue and his biochipped buddies kick Nort arse.
I have shown this to my eldest son and he thought it was great. That, gentlemen is all you need.
Take a trip down memory lane, immerse yourself in it's pages and lose a bit of time to yourself. Enjoy!

Rating: 4 of out 5 - The end of the road for Rogue (?) Part 2

Following on with Rogues adventures we find him on the War Base Milli Com with his chance to not only clear his name but also to get his 3 companions (helm, gunnar & bagman) re-gend. All, however, is not well as we see a new enemy arising from far across the galaxy which will interfere with Rogues plans.
I must admit to not having seen these prog's when they originaly came out in 2000ad way back then, but I have seen a few frames here and there in 'best of' collections. Along with the previous collections (future of war, fort neuro, eye of the traitor & to the ends of nu earth) this do's follow on nicely with some fantastic artwork & good story lines. One thing I would say is that obviously when these were first published it was due to either public demand, as in, what happend to Rogue??or Gerry Finley-Day as wishing to continue Rogue's adventures for a while longer. I say this because the story do's flag somewhat in the middle, it drags it's feet slowly with a story which just do's not seem credible (although with sc fi ANYTHING is credible) but picks up the speed again with a fantastic conclusion. The only thing we are left wondering at the end is (can you guess) will Rogue survive the latest challenge??? You will have to read it yourself to find out.....Roll on Book 6!!!!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - EPIC Rogue!

This collection of Rogues adventures has the epic story Fort Neuro which spanned over 20 issues of the 2000ad comic upon it's orignal publication. The whole world of Rogue is still credible now. The horrors of war still ring true in this adventure of revenge, the loneliness of Rogue despite his 3 close comrades being installed within his equipment. Maybe the story his 'far fetched' or even cliched compared to today's offerings but at the time it was fresh, new & exciting. The artwork & storyboard pacing is second to none. Sister Sledge is a character I had forgoten about till I re read the adventures in this collection, brought it all back...watch your back Rogue!
