- the best three kingdoms strategy ever
(from J wear) this is the brilliant sequal to dynasty tactics you can play as lu bu this time and you arn't out numbered as much. as you play more you unlock new items. judjed on how you play you get compared to heroes of the three kingdoms like liu biao or yuan shao or if your really good the great lu bu. you can also unlock epilogues to play. it also has a thew more characters than the original like lu ling qi (lu bu's daughter) if you like age of empires youll probably like this

- Samurai Chess anyone?
Ok, this game is not going to be everyone's taste.
It is either neither fast paced, nor are the graphics the best you've ever seen.
But is does make you think, and it has massive longevity and replay.
In a nut shell play as one of four characters, building your army in size and ability, in order to conquer all of China.
Each character can make choices throughout their campaign, which leads to different paths and different goodies. Each has 3-5 ending as a result, and each campaign runs at 15-40+ hours.
This is not a simple game to master either, particularly on the higher difficulty settings.
The main game plays as a turn based battle.
So whilst this may be occasionally infuriating, and the graphics are not the best, it does have massive longevity and can keep me quiet for weeks on end.
Which is nice.

- Is this is better than the first Dynasty Tactics
The first Dynasty tactics was an absolutely amazing game that I have played for way over 100 hours. The sequel is very similar with some good improvement.
For example the graphic are a lot better and there are new combos available and new tactics to use.
The game play is very similar but I find the first one is more addictive.
Graphics 10/10
Game play 9/10
Story line 10/10
Addictive 08/10
Overall 09/10
I would advise anyone to buy the first Dynasty tactics before buying the sequel. But both games are a well worth the money and I recommend them to anyone.

- Great Game for all 3 Kingdom fans.
This game was a real enjoyment to play. I have not played the original Dynasty Tactics but heard it was like Kessen.
The first 15 minutes wasa brief introduction on how to play the game. It was a little confusing atfirst but after playing it for a while you get used to it.
This game is huge. If you have the time and patience I would recommend it.It has many different endings to the four story lines Liu Bei, Sun Ce, CaoCao and Lu Bu. It took me 17 hours to complete the Lu Bu storyline only tofind out it was the “bad” character ending. It took me around 4 hours tocomplete Liu Bei. It all depends what kind of ending you would like. Iwould not recommend this game to strategy fans that want a quick and shortcampaign which will be over in 2 hours. You would need patience withthis type of game and when you are in battle the “Auto” function is agreat help. You can let the computer play out the battle for you.
Ifyou are willing to play the game for a long length of time it is greatfun. Creating armies. Selecting officers, recruiting new officers, training them, visiting the villages of your kingdom, expanding yourkingdom and getting advised on the best course of action.
The only thing about the game I was a little annoyed at was the lifespan.Once you loose a battle with your main character in there are no retries. This is a major downfall if you spend 5 hours playing then loosing on abattle only to find out you have not saved the game.
The music, graphics and storylines are compelling and interesting to watchas each of the characters destinies unfold.
