- Great detail but single player is way to short
Felt more like a 'add-on' by the length of the single player campaign, multiplayer is a let down by no custom hosted servers (they need to fix this if the game is to last byond 2 years).
All the same the detail and gameplay was great!

Hello there,
this is a really great game, with an imposant gameplay. The only negative thing is that the game is a little bit short.
But the special ops missions are really fun too. So overall i just can say buy this game, you will not regreat it.

The game in total is good, but the real thing is that it is frustrating many times. The firm allows people with cheats and no genuine copies to play. I have much fun with my friends by playing this game online but to be honest, I will consider it really really good before I purchase again an activision game (based on the online multiplayer. Single player is awsome!! )

- PC Multiplayer totally disappoints
Single Player: 80% - excessive (PR-pushing) violence, gunho-patriotism
Multiplayer: 20% - in itself extremely good and fun - failing due to the player-hosted-only MP games
positive: great graphics, sounds, gameplay
negative: high price, SP offers only a few hours of gameplay, worst MP experience since YEARS
While the single-player game offers some fun for a (very) few hours despite its chaotic and sometimes disturbing story it does not rectify the high price when you regard the multiplayer part.
On PC the MP game is a total failure - not for the game modes or balance but for its game-hosting system. You will face connection problems and laggy games. It will be nearly impossible to play with friends in other but closed matches since the hosting system will transfer you and your mates to different matches on a regular basis. So despite all its many different MP game modes MW2 will be only sufficient for the occational free-for-all matches - forget about any team-oriented matches.
All this is especially disappointing since
a) all necessary technology is hidden in the game already as dedicated servers hosted by hackers prove
b) MW2 passed the 1 billion USD mark in sales and IW still doesn't care to fix the mess with just a few thousand dollars

It is really a great game. Graphics is superb.
As with all such games though, beware that it is just a game! Never mix it with reality. In reality you , and others, have only ONE life! In reality WAR is a real TRAGEDY! Mind that! And enjoy the grat game!!!
