This is easily the best COD game to date - I don't understand why so many have reviewed this badly. Firstly, the graphics are amazing, secondly, the gameplay is improved and you get a variety of weapons to use throughout. Thirdly, the ingame audio and music soundtrack (especially the outros) are phenemomenal and fourthly, the extra minigame at the end is great fun. The only thing missing is the usual brit campaigns, so you get to play america and russia predominantly, but do not let you put that off, this is easily the best WWII shooter out there and looks fantastic. Buy with confidence.

Rating: - Good graphics, poor game.

+ Very nice graphics. Very very nice.
- Enemy AI: i am not sure if there is any AI or just homing grenades.
- Tank: It is probably some punishment to players new control style of tank.
- Solo (Friendly AI): Very precise in the menu. Just solo, no teammates in single player.

Rating: - Modern Warfare but in a World War II scenario.

For a while i have been contemplating whether to purchase Call of Duty: World at War considering the range of negative to positive reviews as well as watching gameplay footage, in the end i purchased it.

Call of Duty: World at War is basically Modern Warfare but in a different era. The graphics are the same, the gameplay is the same, the storyline is basically the same but a different era, you could say it's an expansion for the World War II fanatics like myself, and it succeeds well.

From bits of bodies blowing off, to action packed gameplay and graphics that makes you feel like your in an actual movie makes this game the most successful and the most enjoyable and without a doubt the best World War II game to date, beating Medal of Honor: Airborne by a long shot (and that's alot coming from a Medal of Honor fan).

If you liked Modern Warfare and the World War II theme, then this game is for you.

Rating: - Superb addictive eye candy

Solo Multiplayer or Coop this game is fast paced action packed exciting and first time around in places stunning visually. It will run well on older dual core cpus with a 512mb 9600gt card or there abouts without a glitch, and on i7 920+ rigs with 200 series cards its blinding!!!!!!! It has bad language splattered body parts zombies built in cheats (for fun) and hours of gameplay to achieve XP status and benefits.
Well worth the cost of a take away!

Rating: - not CoD4, but CoD5

I've read alot of people complaining that this game is an extreme let down after playing cod4. I however concider it an improvement!

The singleplayer campaign is short, but extremely well designed in all aspects and the chance to play it over and over again with friends in co-op just makes it all that much more fun (both over the internet, but especially at LAN parties).

The multiplayer has alot of nice achievements and weapon/perk unlocks (just as in cod4) but with the use of bajonet and bolt action rifles its a somewhat different game all together. In my personal opinion this game is by far more enjoyable than cod4 (maby because Im a ww2 geek), but it owes mainly to the co-op campaign option and last, but diffently not least, the nazi-zombie gameplay (if something is more fun at LAN parties I like to see it!)

all in all, its not cod4, but cod5 and its one hell of a ww2 shooter!
