Average rating - 3.0 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - A lot better than people give it credit

This game takes what COD4 did and brings it to world war 2. The multilayer is still very fun though maybe not quite COD4, the addition of tanks I would say is the worst thing that they have added. The single player is very entertaining with battles taking place in a variety of impressive and enjoyable settings and the weapons though different than COD4 are just as fun and possibly more satisfying.
Apart from all of the issues with getting this game to work I don't see the problem a lot of people have with this game who loved COD4. The engine has been improved with better physics and amputation and has all of the things which made COD4 so great are still there.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Incredible when you have the right pc!!!

Firstly i'd lik to say that all you customers who complain about the game's speed and quality, you dont have a good enough pc. I have a decent pc which is quite old now but the game still works emmaculately. I love the new factures on this game: the flame thrower, all of thee new guns and explosives, they have also brough back the TANK and of course the pure reality of it all. This game is much goryier and bloodier, but boy is it cool.
Requirments
Processor: AMD 64 3200+/Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or better

Memory: 8 GB free hard-drive space, 512MB RAM (XP)/1GB RAM (Vista)

I have all of the call of duties now and place this one second behind call of duty 2

Rating: 3 of out 5 - Just like COD4 only not as good

I was really looking forward to this game after COD4. However, this is an almost exact retread of COD4 in a WWII setting. Some parts are just a blatant rip-off e.g Russian sniper = All ghillied up in COD4, the flyingboats attacking the ships is the same as the gunship part in COD4. Don't get me wrong, this is still a fun game, but it feels even shorter and easier than COD4. After I finished this game I went back to COD4 and just marvelled at how much better it is. So if you have COD4, this will probably disappoint. If you don't, play this first, then COD4 and you will likely enjoy the experience more.
There have been some games that I have really been looking forward to recently, this game, Far Cry 2, Crysis, Brothers in arms-Hells Highway etc. Unfortunately, none comes close to COD4. Of this bunch, I would recommend Brothers in Arms as it is a little different and more difficult than the others.

Rating: 3 of out 5 - A bit sloppy

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was of course a great game, exciting, just about plausible, and simply fantastic fun to play. It was too short in single player, too rigidly scripted and occasionally maddening in its real-time levels. However, for sheer excitement it was hard to beat.

Therefore it seems rather odd that the next CoD, using the same engine, falls some considerable way short of its predecessor. To start with it seems fine, with excellent graphics and frenetic action. But after a while you start noticing that the AI is bonkers, and that enemies in particular frequently spawn in odd places, and very bizarrely sometimes just stand stock still in close quarter combat, presumably waiting for you to turn up and kill them. I've even seen them simply disappear, as if they had given up and faded away!

And whilst you could never accuse any of these types of games of being in good taste, this one seems particularly crass and juvenile.

Overall it's rather flat, and only really gets away with by (a) association with its glorious predecessor and (b) looking very nice. It's generally rather unimaginative. Once you get a flame thrower stuff gets very easy in most cases. And again, it seems very short. Level design is perfunctory.

Still fun to play, but a clear lack of QA suggests a product knocked together in haste, and yet again punters are being used as testers.

Rating: 2 of out 5 - WAIT !!!

I bought this game because i am a big COD fan,but after loading onto pc i had to phone the support line were they were helpfull and got the game running in multiplayer mode arfter i had turned off ALL my programes running in the back ground,BUT we still cannot get it to play in solo mode and as such i think i would advise any one who is thinking of buying this game to make sure they have a top spec pc first as it takes alot of power to run.I checked mine before i bought the game and it was ok eg:if out of 10 it needs 5 to run on minimum spec my pc runs on 6.5,this is no were near enough.
So happy hunting and i hope this was of some help.
