- COD 5
dis game is sik!!:P
the graph is moderate to good, although player mobility is limited to paths created by the engine.
the weapons are superb as in detail and spec, obviously a thompson M1A1 doesnt compare to an M4, best automatic rifle in da game is the pa pa sha(PPSH (71 round Drum Magazine) ), best sniper rifle is the Springfield M1903: Scoped best MG is the M1919A6 Browning

- Wot? No Brits?
I enjoyed the game just as I did all the other CoD's, mind you, I only ever play 'Single Player' Mode. If I have any complaints about it, then (a) it is too short, and (b) weren't the Brits involved in WW2. The game would have been a reasonable length if a British Campaign had been included. As it is, only The Americans and the Russians are featured. What a shame!

If this was released 18 months ago I'd probably have given it 5 stars. It's a good game but compared to it's Modern Day stablemate COD4 just isn't as good, in either single-player or online.
The SP element just feels way too short and lacks the cinematic set-pieces of the Infinity Ward (IW) produced COD games and replay value. I don't think it's that WWII has been done death, I just think that IW do the genre a lot better than Treyarch.

- A downer after previous CoD's...
Aaaah, what a pity that they didn't do more with the subject material for this latest incarnation of our favourite fish. Nice idea, but rather hesitantly carried out. Oh sure, the game play was in your face and 'exciting', but the narrative was very fractured and stuttered and the general mechanics, mission play and variability was sorely lacking. Unfortunately, it doesn't build much on CoDs 1 and 2 as far as the Russian missions are concerned, I'm getting a little tired of Stalingrad, just as well there was only one arc there, but then one wonders, what was the point of including it in the first place, and the way it starts is waaaaay too gimmicky. Just give me three snipers to hunt down, would have given me a better thrill than just picking off five German soldiers loitering around. Last think content-wise: I like tanks. I like them so much that I replayed the Tank Squadrons missions in CoD 2, repeatedly, a lot. We had Seelow Heights, but it just didn't have the same speed as the desert battles. And being a WW2 buff, T-34's, being one of the most reliable, well armoured and well armed (considering cost) tanks in the world, it just could not compare with thrill of driving the wispy paper coated spitball throwing Crusader that zipped around making a nuisance of itself, knowing that a single well-aimed shot renders it a pile of slag.
It may have been a more mature than previous FPS's, but its gore was excessive and I've seen enough severed limbs and halves of bodies for a lifetime after playing the multiplayer for just an hour. It kind of detracts from 'it's just a game'. It's the kind of violence that belongs in films: watch it once, then skip to the bits we want to watch again.
So: good graphics; valid story (if poorly executed); uninspiring gameplay; idiotic levels of severed body parts, only upshot: GARY OLDMAN!!
Three out of five (and I think I'm being generous)

- Multiplayer OK, single player pretty lame
Just like to add my name to the chorus of unhappy, short changed customers.
Although none of us should have been surprised. When the development reigns were handed over to the team that brought us the previous worst game in the series, COD 3, it shouldn't have been a surprise this one would be as bad. Yet somehow we still expected something good but they gave us COD 3 MkII.
I've been fortunate to have no technical problems, so have no quibble there. It's just the gameplay, AI and feel to the game that annoy so much. There's no doubt this was rushed to the market in a part finished state. Level design is hopeless, some of the guns sound terrible and your AI teammates serve no purpose.
I didn't initially take to the Multiplayer. It seemed inferior to the COD 4 despite all the same menus and options. But i've adjusted now and quite enjoy it. Plus it hasn't yet been swamped with all the cheating low life you get on the COD 4 servers.
Hopefully the soon to be released v1.2 patch will be huge and bring with it a lot of improvements. But i doubt it. Activision are now full steam ahead with COD 6 Modern Warfare 2 and almost certainly lost interest in this farce.
If you can find it cheap on Ebay, then get it for the Multiplayer. Otherwise avoid!
