- A missed opportunity
D12's first joint , Devils Night , was possibly the best Eminem album ever released ( and possibly the eminem show) . The 5 other Detriot crew members really hold their own and make the cd a very enjoyable experiance . With their dark lyrics and catchy beats , Devils Night is a stroke of genius . Unfortuneately D12 world just does not compare .As soon as i heard the first single 'my band' i decided to buy the cd .This was much like purple pills from devils night and so i had high expectations , unfortuneately they fell short . D12 have TOTALLY altered their style and songs like B**** , leave dat boy alone , u r the one and i'll be damned ruin the album totally , i couldn't believe what i was listening to ! Also , why the hell would Eminem EVER allow Bizzare to have the only solo song on the album , it is appauling and the skits inbetween are aggravating and totally unnecassary .The Kanye West produced title song is also catchy , but rather pointless . The only Dre produced joint on the whole album is American Psycho II which is possibly one of the strongest songs on the album with tight lyrics and a strong beat. Git up , my band , how come are also very good songs .Get my gun just makes me laugh and despite the very large amount of swearing is a very enjoyable song .40 oz is ok , Em's verse is tight as is Proof's ,Keep talkin' reminds me alot of a song that would appear on Devils Night and so my opinion is the best song on the album .Mr Denaun Porter ( producer of 50 cents smash P.I.M.P )also shows off his producing skills with the most emotional rap song i've ever heard, 'Good die young' . This is a real achievement for D12 as they finally speak their true thoughts on the death of ex-member Bugz .It is a very sad song with a good rhythm and i give credit to Mr Porter for producing such a song . Overall the album has some good points but is a missed opportunity at best . Hopefully D12's next album ( if there ever will be one )will sound more like the music they are good at making . I also wish Eminem would start to consider the songs put on his albums which after listening to Encore , isnt that apparant.D12 are a talented group and i hope that people dodnt judge them by the content of THIS album , PLEASE everyone who is reading this review , for a REALLY good , hip hop / Eminem classic , buy DEVILS NIGHT you wont be disappointed !

- Appreciate Your Past
I always feel that D-12 are underrated by the critics. They certainly don't have the media grabbing attention that Eminem has got, but they certainly have enough street cred to make it for themselves. I must point out i found this album more listenable than Eminem's Encore. Whereas the latter has MTV records written all over it, D12 World stays faithful to its hip hop/west coast schtick.
If you look down the lines of great R n B artists, 2pac, Dr Dre, NWA and they all have songs that made a major impact on the world. D-12 unfortunately don't have that, but what they do have is some cracking tunes like Git Up, Loyalty, I'll Be Damned, and those are just in the first four tracks. A couple of skits pop now and again, most interestingly is a skit by deceased member Bugz, just before Good Die Young, the closest the group get to sound like Boyz 2 Men, and it hits home.
The album is mainly produced by Eminem, but Dr Dre only shows up on one song (American Psycho 2) and that is one of the strongest on the album and with B Real from Cypress Hill it stands out. Kon Artis also produces a few tracks, Good Die Young being his greatest achievement. There is only one song on here that I don't particularly like and that is the title track, its really pointless and just doesn't have a catch to it.
The bonus cd ain't that exciting either, its only two tracks after all. We may never hear a song like "Ain't Nuthin But A G Thang" again, but at least they tried, they've held their fists out and one day that damn MTV will appreciate them.

- Skittish talent
The latest offering from Eminem the Producer is D12 World, and has a good mix of sounds going for it. There's the relatively chilled U R Da 1 through to the comical My Band, and all the way back to 40oz with its aggression and violence.
What's different in this album to that of, say, Devil's Night, which most people hail as the "Classic D12 Album", is that in almost every track, no matter how much the crew go on about sex, drugs, violence and guns, you can hear the laugh the rappers are blatantly having. At us? With us? At themselves? To be quite honest, I don't care who they're laughing at. D12's linguistic skill, whatever their morals, can't be ignored.
There's something about ho's, drugs and guns in every song - which might just start to get repetitive after a while if it wasn't for the many different ways the group manages to express it. Each track is different and distinct and the aggression spilling over into the lyrics is something I find refreshing. These guys are expressing themselves in the way they choose and their popularity and album slaes are a testament to their skills.
Eminem's voice in particular has grown and grown in maturity. Cast your minds back to the Marshall Mathers LP, and the Slim Shady LP. Remember how nasal and whiny and high pitched he sounded? Well, no more, and quite honestly I'm relieved. He's a better rapper now than he's ever been. Even Bizzare, whose lyrics reflet his name, has a beat all of his own and is a talent to himself.
That said, the skits get more and more annoying as you get through the album. They're done in good humour, true, but don't really serve any purpose, particularly the My Band skit. Boring and useless.
All in all, the album is very different to Devil's Night...but that don't make it a bad album. Sit in your car, kick up the bass and drive.............

- D12 world ain't so good
I Thought this album was really really poor, the only good songs being 'how come' and 'good die young'. the others were sub standard especially 'd12 world' and 'my band'.
I also have devils night which is 100 times better and has lots of good songs such as 'purple pills' and 'pistol pistol'.
eminem is by far the best rapper in d12, the only other good one being bizarre.
D12 are no good without eminem.

- D12 World
I bought this album about 1 week ago ive listened to it day in day out and im still not bored. There are 21 tracks on this which is great but the skits are pretty bad. Apart from the skits the songs are great. I didn't make myself like this i just liked it from the start. If u are deciding between G-unit -Beg for Mercy album go for this one. I can assure you that d12 have spent ages making this album and it was worth it.It has loads of tracks that we already know which is good, like the classic My Band. There is also howcome,40oz,American Psycho, git up. Its great.
