Rating: - Esoteric brilliance

More accessible than their other albums with richly Scandinavian influences on tracks such as "Parade", but the whole album leaves you with a 'what the hell was that' feeling. N.Y Hotel gives a melancholy lustre to the album not seen on the newer discs of The Knife starkly contrasted with the dark "Reindeer", a Christmas track. Brilliant, really keeps you awake and surprised all the way to the bitter end....
