It hasn't been off my CD player!
120 something tracks appears daunting when you first see the package and once you start listening it's not the Chris Rea you remember. But, its only £25 or so for 11 CDs and a DVD so you persevere. After a while you realize - it's everything you need - this is what you've been looking for all these years; intelligent, heartfelt, historical - the root of your musical collection. What a bargain!
You owe it to yourself to buy this collection. I cannot believe why it hasn't had greater acclaim. When the history of the blues is re-written Chris Rea will be the hero. Sheer genius!

What can I say Stunning, Magic, Amazing. If you like Chris Rea and you like blues music then this is for you.Each CD has Chris's own interpretation of different area's of blues music i.e slave, gospel,New Orleans and more. What a talent what a man.

I just couldn't resist this package at this price. I am a blues fan, not a Chris Rea fan, but I have heard him enthusing about the blues on Paul Jones' radio programme and heard tempting extracts. I needn't have worried. I have only listened to the first disc so far, but that would stand up well as an individual release, quite haunting in places. I have also watched the DVD to whet my appetite and am really looking forward to journeying through the whole story.
Stunning presentation. A labour of love and a true work of art.

Having enjoyed all of Chris Rea's blues stuff, I had to buy this boxed set. It is beautifully packaged, the music is wonderful, the art work is exceptional. Buy it, enjoy it and soak up the best of Chris Rea.

if you like blues, you'll love this. Any suggestions of repetitiveness would be from people less enamored with blues music.
Subtle shifts in style are evident from disc to disc as you travel the long journey through this collection. This is a compilation to be consumed like fine red wine- a little at a time during late evening contemplation.
