- Love at First Listen!
Unlike a couple of other Rammstein albums (namely Herzeleid and Reise, Reise), the second it started playing I thought wow this is what I was missing! - I loved it instantly. Infact I've only thus far listened to it a couple of times but I don't think there's a single track on there I don't like. Excellent stuff.

- the most important thing you get to do is,,,
argue about the translation of the lyrics to Du Hast, you see, there is an english version of the song with different lyrics to the german, however people argue over whether the english version is the intended meaning, ignoring people fleunt in german telling them what they actually mean. It is your duty if you buy this album to pick a side and argue over it endlessly on internet forums.
Me? I am a "you have" person not a "you hate" But the beauty of it is its meant to be a double meaning.
The influence of ministry or even the prodigy is clear here, I like the more recent Rammstein, but this is from the early period that sounds the most distinctive. heavy metal with dance added on.
I hope to see these guys live one day, it looks like an absolute hoot.

- Just buy this album!!! (and the rest of them).
Rammstein are my favourite band so its hard for me to say a bad word about them. Although Hertzeleid is my favourite album I also really like this album. Its always best if you play any of their songs loud, who cares about the neighbours anyway? I like metal music and Rammstein have put their own individual twist on it which works really well. My advise is to at least listen to some of their songs then you will know what I'm talking about, then buy the albums, they don't have a bad one yet!!!

- brilliant
Rammsteins second album,'sehnsuct' meaning longing is a natural follow up to their debut, its more polished, more immediate and a very solid piece of work.
Opening up with the title track, the album has a euro pop feel to it but thats in the background to the metal that rammstein feel, the keyboards and synths are never in greater use than on this album and it works, tills vocals have also improved from the debut and even though his vocals are as commanding as ever he can still sing when needed,ie on the classy 'klavier'.The album is packed with classics such as 'tier','du hast' which is defintely an anthem, and 'alter mann' to name just a few.The use of female vocals are also a factor why this is a great album, the one downside is found on the last track 'kuss mich' which is pretty average when you consider all that came before but this is still an essential album.
