- getting it off my chest....
I had this new when it came out so it shows how old I am. The record has been reviewed in depth so I won't repeat what's already been said by other reviewers. What I want to say is that this album had a massive impact back in the day partly because we didn't know Bowie then as some sort of Chamelion changing his identity every season. He WAS ziggy stardust...an alien fully formed and here on earth. Everybody who is a Bowie fan has their favourite periods but for me it's this album and the follow up Aladdin Sane, not just because I listened to them in my formative years, but also because of his band, The Spiders. Bowie's played with loads of highly accomplished musicians but none have suited him as well as this band, who he treated pretty damn badly. Here's to Trevor Bolder, Woody Woodmansey and the glorious Mick Ronson, without whom Bowie wouldn't be where he is today.

- Spectacular
I'll keep it short since others before me have reviewed it better than i could.
This album is one of the top 20 of all time and one of my personal favourite records. There's no better collection of tracks put together on an LP and Moonage Daydream maybe one of the best Rock songs of all time.
Every household should have this album

- The Best Album of All Time
Ziggy Stardust was the greatest rock creation of all-time and this is the best album ever made.
Every single track is a classic, a gem , a work of art.
David Bowie is a living legend and the most talented performer in the history of showbiz.
Fact.

- Ziggy Stardust to Garry Johnson
This is David Bowie at his brilliant best and without dout the best rock album of all-time.
It inspired everyone from John Lydon to punk poet Garry Johnson to make music.
Every track on this album is a classic. The vocals, the lyrics, the tunes are all 100% perfection.
I have seen Bowie around 30 times in concert, I have seen all the tribute bands from The Bewley Brothers to The Buzz Kids - but no-one does it like Ziggy Stardust.
Pop perfection are the two words that sum up this album.

- In my opinion one of the greatest albums of all time
The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust, discarding the character creation and the entire buzz surrounding it, is truly a great accomplishment. It seems that Bowie had been spending some time working up to this extraordinary level of musicianship. The Man Who Sold The World and Hunky Dory got very close (more so on the popular latter album) but it was here that Bowie and his right hand man Mick Ronson and Producer Tony Visconti produced a masterpiece.
It's not many times that I can say that an album has not a weak track on it, it's even more rare when each track could be a single in it's own right. Bowie really found a lot of focus to draw in his influences and hone in his song writing. It's not just the immediate singles that appear on Bowie best ofs that shine through: The storming emotion of Five Years, the chilled out soul of Soul Love, the pure rock of Hang On To Yourself, the soaring chorus of Moonage Daydream. It simply has it all! If you love music but have not yet checked out David Bowie then get into this, you will not be disappointed.
