Rating: 5 of out 5 - Superstar

Quite Simply, Lauryn Hill is a superstar. Not only does she have a creamy voice which will float over you like soft silk, but this r&b star also has a brain!

Many of her songs, such as "Everything" and "Forgive Them Father" have deep meanings which become clear through Lauryn's intelligient lyrics.

Lauryn is a deeply spiritual and religious woman, who has been transported from a tough childhood in the ghetto's, to a life of wealth and stardom. This is made clear in many songs, especially "Every ghetto, Every City"

A feel-good cd if ever I have heard one, Lauryn's sweet sounds make her songs a must to sing along to, however her long improvisations are somewhat tricky to master!

A favourite song for when you are feeling blue is "Nothing Even Matters", which oozes soul and a feeling of happiness, making your sadness drift away.

A must for every music-lover, play this in the car, and drive with it up at its loudest, letting your worries drift away as you sing along with the greatness that is Lauryn Hill!

Rating: 4 of out 5 - ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIMES

@ first I thought that this album was benefitting from too much hype, and that Ms. Hill was a bit too selffrighteous, as can be seen on the part of India Arie (although I dig her vocals). But on listening to Miseducation, I GAINED ENOUGH EDUCATION to take a morality test. The album is highly educational and the lyrics are splendid...most especially on LOST ONES. Lauren combines urban music - reggae, hip hop, r & b,soul and even pop to create one of the best/must buy albums of the 90s.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Amazing (basically!)

This is a brilliant album.Lauryn's voice is stunning & there is a wide mix of music(r'n'b, reggae,hiphop...)She sings about love, childhood, pain, religion and life in general. The ballads are full of emotion & will continue to move me to tears-no matter how often i hear them! The hidden tracks show just how taleted lauryn is-not everybody can cover 'can't take my eyes off you' & make it sounds this good!A must for every hiphop/reggae/r'n'b/gospel/soul...fan!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - The Best Album To Get!

Lauryn Hill's debut solo album is one of the best debut's I've ever heard. She put it all together by herself with help of additional song elements, musicians, producers and vocals the album becomes are big success! The introduction of the album gives you a rough idea of what the album is about. She talks about her reality in this album being her caring mother in "To Zion" with Carlos Santana playing the guitar. She also talks about young people and their problems in "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and "Everything Is Everything" She talks about her past "Every Ghetto, Every City" her present "The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill" and her future in some parts of other songs. "Lost Ones" pure hip hop "Forgive Them Father" religious Jamaican song with help from "Concrete Jungle" by Bob Marley with a guest apperance by Shelly Thunder. She talks also about love "Ex-Factor" "When It Hurts So Bad" "I Used To Love" with Mary J. Blige "Nothing Even Matters" with D'Angelo and "Superstar" with elements of "Light My Fire" by popular 70's and 80's group The Doors. She also speaks about the "Final Hour" and does a nice cover of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" with the album ending in "Tell Him" I would say go and get the album it has all music styles ranging from pop to hip hop. Buy it now!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Gotta b my favourite!

hi i'm chris 17/f/lon If you're thinkin about buyin this album take the advice from all the great reviews so far and BUY IT. seriously this album is too good to not have in you're collection. Whether RnB HipHop Reggae Soul Gospel or Pop is your thing i feel lauryn hills passion and smooth vocals will open you're eyes that music does not belong to one set category just to ease ur shopping or lifestyle. This epic album was released 4years ago and got loadsa grammies and for a reason.i was front row at wembly in 1999 and it was my first concert ever and i LOVED it and no concert has come close to it since! she is great, and although its now considered as 'old' it stills remains a classic that i will never grow tired of. GET MIS-EDUCATION - you wont regret it! xxx
