- Not much - just great
Not going to say much. Just that the album is great: the voice, the musicians, the lyrics. Great performance overall. Those who like 'garden and Chris himself will no doubt love this cd. Simply great music.

- Euphoria Morning
With interesting typical Cornell style, the lyrics on this album display his talents for going solo to full effect.

Euphoria Morning is Chris Cornell's 1999 debut solo album, filled with what i think are some of his greatest songs. Not a single filler song here - it is great from the opener 'can't change me' through the heartfelt 'Preaching the End of the World' and the piano based 'when i'm down', drifting on a creative high till the very end - with more high points coming at 'sweet euphoria', 'disappearing one' and the amazingly put together 'Pillow of your Bones'. Be forewarned however, Euphoria Morning is very different from Soundgarden and Audioslave, and nothing like his second effort 'carry on' or the horrible 'Scream'. The closest to this album's vibe and style is probably the softer songs from 'temple of the dog' - i.e. call me a dog, or say hello to heaven. Euphoria Morning (the album, not the song) is an amazing tribute to just how amazing Chris Cornell's voice and songwriting can be - the soaring vocals and melodies from 'when i'm down' and 'disappearing one' come to mind. Euphoria Morning is a forgotten masterpiece - one that you should own if you enjoyed the softer elements from temple of the dog or soundgarden.

- Edgy
I think the great thing about this album is its general moodiness and attitude, from "Flutter Girl" (an anti groupie song - "you dont wanna know where I live, you dont wanna take what I give") and the wry "she's going to change the world, but she can't change me" to the "you say I only love you when Im down... one thing you should realise, is Im down all the time". The only downside on this album I think is Steel Rain, which really really drags. On the whole an interesting, introverted album.

- Beautifully crafted music
I bought this album at the age of 16. I heard "Mission 2000" from the MI:2 soundtrack and loved the feel and sound of the song. I knew of Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, but wasn't disappointed to find that this album was a completely different kettle of fish to Soundgarden's offerings. Instead, this album is all about well written, melodic and above all beautful music. There is something uplifting about the album as a whole and it takes you on an emotional journey. My personal favourite tracks are "Wave Goodbye" (which got me through a tough breakup three years back) and the French version of "Can't Change Me". If you want more of Soundgarden or Audioslave, ignore this album. If you want to listen to a gorgeous album of (mainly) acoustic music, get this. One of my all time favourite albums.
