- Euphoria Morning
This is a great first solo album from Cornell. It is no way as hard as Soundgarden or Audioslave to come, but the songs are well written and his voice is superb. I was surprised at the style of the album, but with repeated listening and heard in it's own right, you appreciate the music and lyrics a great deal. Well worth a try if you're a fan of the above mentioned bands, and worth a listen if you like the slightly softer side of rock music in general.

- Solid first solo album
As a big Soundgarden fan, i felt that this was an essential purchase for me, so i bought it on its first release but never really got into it first time around. Mybe i was used to the heavier sound of 'garden so dismissed it as a bit soft. However, I starting finding myself humming some of the tunes to this album, even though i hadn't listened to it for a couple of years, so i decided to try it again recently and now i can't stop playing it! I don't believe there is a bad song on the album, and in my opinion is one of the finest albums by a solo artist that i own.
give it a try, but if like me you don't get into it straight away please don't dismiss it as there are some real gems on it.

- Cool Solo Album
Some of the songs on this album sort of go back to the roots of soundgarden such as "moonchild". It be sweet if he added more heavy tunes on his solo albums. They tend to be more soft toned in contrast to the group albums. It's a pity why his latest album "Carry On" doesn't sound as good as this one. Perhaps, having a talented female in the band and working with close friends and peers kind off added to the uniqueness of this album.

- Best album ever
I've had this album since it first came out and i can still play it over and over again. It's like, everytime i play it is like the first time. One track which is my favourite, and one that i'm surprised no one else has mentioned yet, is "Follow My Way". The lyrics, the pitch of Chris' beautiful voice and the guitar intro, it sends a sort of rush through my body (a sense of Euphoria you could say) and then tears start welling up and it feels like my heart is breaking. Thats the amazing thing about this guy, he can make you cry with happiness or sadness with his great writing skills. "Flutter Girl" is another one to take note of. "Preaching the end of the world" is so beautiful and special to me as it reminds me of my own relationship with my man. "Steel Rain" is heart-wrenching.
Buy this album................its like honey being poured in your ear.

- An original masterpiece.
What can I say...this is an absolute classic!
I first really discovered Chris through Audioslave and I am at a complete loss that I have not found this CD sooner. Perhaps it is it's apparent 'failing' (from reading some of the reviews)that is to blame for it slipping through my normally very vigilant net.
The quality of the songwriting is first class, the vocals are superb as always and all in all this is a timeless album that deserves to be appreciated by generations to come.
It is different from Audioslave (who just rock, by the way), very chilled and melodic and while drawing from a wide range of familiar musical influences, Chris has produced an unique sound that only a truely talented musical craftsman can.
The highlights for me are Can't Change Me, Flutter Girl, Preaching the End of The World, When I'm Down, Disappearing One and Pillow of Your Bones, but in all honesty all the tracks have a little something that leave you wanting more.
In my eyes Chris is up there with the most influential songwriters of the 20th/21st century and I await the release of his next solo offering (rumoured to be early 2007)with sheer desperation.
'Euphoria Morning' is totally gorgeous.
