- Simply wonderful
This album is possibly the best solo album I've ever heard, let alone owned. My personal favourite song is Disappearing One, it's really melodic, soothing, slightly depressing but beautiful. Either that or Wave Goodbye. Never mind, they're both amazing; this whole album is amazing. Cornell is the greatest singer and songwriter ever, and he must have at least one song for every person in the entire world's taste from his massive collection of work.
Buy it. It will change your life.

- A Classic
An album for all moods happy, sad, excited or chilled this album can satisfy anything. The vocals and song-writing is of the highest quality. Cornell has gone to another level of musical talent this album is recommended to all especially those familiar with cornells side project temple of the dog both show cornell in his best light. Its an album you will never get bored of and always want to get back to a great buy for any fan of rock...

- Sweet Euphoria
All Chris wants to do is put out music and not be judged by his past band soundgarden who were fantastic. but this is in a completely different league it's more mellow and laid back chris voice is amazing as usual and the lyrics are beautiful and depressing all at the same time which i really admire
the music that sets the lyrics is hauting with a tinge of heavenly light to send shivers down your shine
chris cornell has outdone himself to shake off the soundgarden tag he shouldn't be judged because he's a talented genius
standout tracks=can't change me, flutter girl, preaching the end of the world[this really gets me right in my heart beautiful]
Mission, moon child and Sweet Euphoria

- A reasonable effort from the golden voiced one.
Not bad - only very slightly disappointed with this, though I haven't listened to it very much yet and it may well be a grower. But at first glance it all seems to be pretty pleasant stuff, with Cornell's voice of course on ridiculous form. Perhaps the songwriting is a little weak, I dunno. I really should listen more before reviewing this, but I felt I had to purely to comment on the outrageous French lyric version of one of the songs on here. What was he thinking?!

- Interesting solo album from the Baron of seattle
I'm a fan of pretty much anything that Cornell has done, but particularly Soundgarden. I'd heard good things about his solo effort and i finally found this album in a shop, in the "metal" section for some reason.
Anyway, this album is introspective and strange; the lyrics are classic Cornell in that it is somewhat difficult to know what he's on about, but still they seem personal and sometimes painful, particularly the Jeff Buckley lamentation "Wave Goodbye".
He's got a good voice for RnB which he illustrates on "When I'm down", yet his wail is still evident on songs like the excellent "Steel rain", although it's much more soulful then the badmotorfinger era death scream.
Cornell should be applauded for moving away from the Soungarden sound and instead doing his own thing with a very original album that shows us he's more then just psychadelic alt rock grunge whatever and a pretty face.
