Rating: - Every tracks a winner !

Can do no better than to quote John Altman (Nasty Nic from Eastenders) who in a program in the late eighties/early nineties declared this as his favourite album "So often do you buy an album only to find there are only 2 or 3 tracks that are any good, with Reckless every ones a winner", "In It's Only Love Bryan and Tinas voice are the perfect match, they practically crackle together, it's electric !"
This album is buried for the younger audience behind the more recent releases that are terribly wet (though surprisingly a lot do work live acoustically). If you like eighties rock you'll love this !

Rating: - His best ever album

Went to see Tina Turner in concert in 1985 and heard that Bryan Adams was supporting her. "Bryan who" I asked. The first and only gig I've been to where the support act got called back for an encore. The day after, I went out and bought Reckless and virtually wore it out. There's not a bad song on there, and obviously Summer of 69 is the absolute favourite. But the whole album is timeless - nothing on there says that it's 25 years old. Every single track is worth listening to over and over. "Heaven" had a special meaning for me, as I'm sure it has for a lot of people, but sometimes things are best left unsaid. It's still a fantastic song though. Every gig I've been to of his since 1985 has got better and better, and with Scotty on lead, they make a fantastic sound. That's not dissing the other members of the band, as they all compliment each other perfectly, but Bryan & Keith always seem as though they're just mates fooling around. If there's one album you should have in your collection - this is the one!

Rating: - UPGRADE?

As seems to be the case with nearly all decent albums these days, I wonder when a suitable 'upgrade' of this old cd will appear? Hoping for better mastering and bonus tracks (the rare B-side "Diana" for starters)!

Rating: - Recklessly good

Despite it's age and 1980's AOR image, this album still has a lot to offer. Memorable for it's singles rather than as an album, it's worth has been perhaps dimished by the plethora of "best of's..." both of Adams, and of the 80's themselves, on which the singles feature strongly.

That said, rock was never more radio-friendly than this, and marked the refinement of the American-rock sound spawned by Bob Clearmountain, RJ "Mutt" Lange and Bob Rock, producers of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and (latterly) Metallica. Perennial favourites such as "Summer of '69", "Heaven" & "Run To You" will be around for a long time yet...
A great driving album, or a retro-party album, and a fantastic boiled-down-to-its-essence example of 1980's rock.

Rating: - His best ever

Although a couple of his other albums are strong, Bryan peaked with this masterpiece. Forget the Robin Hood song this is his signature album. Getting on for 25 years old, it still stands up strong today, is littered with classics and for me is still THE ultimate driving album.
