Average rating - 4.5 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - They are jst as good live!!!

Right, well, i have just got the album today and it rocks!!! All your favourites LIVE!! We have the pleasures of Paradise City, Pretty Tied Up, Sweet Child o Mine, Mr Brownstone and so on. Some of the tracks sound better on the studio recorded albums i have to admitt, but thats just the vocals, in the live versions Slash and Izzy's riffs take on a whole new feeling, being bigger, better and a hell of a lot longer, if u like the guns n roses, u'll love this, now all i need is the Videos!!! HAVE FUN ALL!!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - The 'Greatest Hits' we'll never have

Over their careeers, Guns N' Roses have steadily become one of Metals greatest acts, and this is a fact proved on this album. Egos and greed broke down this once amazing band but before planet GNR was destroyed this album pretty much showed off some of musics greatest songs and summarised what Guns N' Roses were originally all about, hard, fast, rock music. It is the GNR 'Greatest Hits' we'll now never see or hear. As a band they were often sloppy or unreliable, but you could always count on them to produce METAL metal.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - A True Masterpiece

It is rare that a song comes along that can truely define music as an art form. Some of these are Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi or Dreams by Van Halen (although many would not agree with me), but it is even rarer to find a whole album that can define the fine art of music. This album is perfect! From Nightrain to Paradise city it rocks. The true masterpieces on this album are November Rain, Patience, Rocket Queen and of course, what is possibly the greatest song ever, Sweet Child O Mine. There are of course those which can't be classified as masterpices because of the type of song. Welcome to the Jungle or Paradise City are rocking tracks that just plain rock so can't really be masterpieces but they are worthy of high regard. My favourite tracks on this album are Move To The City and Knockin' On Heavens Door Because of the audience participation, something that you just can't get on a studio album. The way that the crowd cheers at certain lyrics or grooves with the band is incredible and gives you a surge of adrenaline matched by very few albums.

In my opinion, if you don't buy this then you are missing an experience in your life. If you already own this and want another album, may I suggest A Little South Of Sanity by Aerosmith. A very similar music style and an equal masterpiece.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - A brilliant album by a brilliant band

The live album really epitomises what Guns N Roses are (or were) about. With Slash free to solo throught the double CD, and with Axl Singing out as usual, this CD is very pleasant to listen to. It has all of their old tracks, and is good for someone who doesn't know much GnR and wants to hear some. Their Black Sabbath cover of it's alright is brilliant and leads into an extra long version of November rain, with a three minute piano solo intro, and a slightly altered regular intro. A lot of the songs from this album are from Appetite For Destruction, and Despite what people say, a lot of effort is put into it, with a fantastic result. A great album worth it's money

Rating: 3 of out 5 - Value for money, but it could have been tweaked a bit.

This live double album has all of the old GN'R greats compiled into it, and that is worth your £15.00 I must admit. But most of the time, the guitars are so loud you can't hear the brilliant vocals of W. Axl Rose, some of the songs sound like the bands hearts aren't really in it. The ones that sound good, sound brilliant though.

It seems to me that this should have been mainly recorded when Guns N' Roses were at their peak, but instead it was recorded while the tension within the band was ever-increasing and by the sounds of most of the songs, I'm not surprised that they all fell out a couple of years later.

All in all, this could have been a great album if the band seemed more interested and a bit of tweaking should have been done on the vocals of the louder songs so you can actually hear them. If you want a brilliant live album get "A Little South of Sanity" by Aerosmith.
