- GnR as they SHOULD be heard.
I was a massive GnR fan way back when & this album just brought all the tracks back to life. There is so much energy here w/Nightrain, Mr Brownstone, etc just rocking out. There is the superbly diverse blues playout to Move To The City &, of course, Slash at the fore on every track. The Estranged version here is one of my top ever tracks. PD!

- Best Live Album Ever
Lies, Appetite, And the use your illusion records all on one double album LIVE simply fantastic. Used To Love Her, Rocket Queen, and Paradise City just sound amazing live. Axl's copy of Black Sabbath It's Alright sounds beautiful.
Being a live album Slash is more free with his guitar riffs in most tracks and this just adds new light to the classic old songs.
A proper album, with proper music makes a much needed change from Brit Pop and Boybands. This album make you feel the music and if you are a true fan, will send tingle's down your spine.
Every GN'R fan must include this album in there collection. Those who don't are missing out on something special.

- Good if you don't own any other live stuff
This album seems to largely borrow from the videos of Use Your Illusion I & II filmed in Tokyo and as such is a little disappointing if you already own them. However, it can't be faulted for the breadth of material. It would have been good however, if they'd have spread the recordings over their whole career and listed the dates of the recordings as this, as I have said, seems too much like a single recording from the Use Your Illusion Tour.

- You've got to be in the right mood for this one.
The first CD starts with a typically hoarse-throated American telling us that "we wanted the best, well they couldn't make it." Upon hearing his tones you begin to womder if you've made a terrible mistake forking out the cash for this one! One word of advice - don't play it to your friends, they'll only laugh.
But then the music kicks in with Nighttrain. Suddenly though after only two songs Axl stops proceedings for a few minutes to tell the audience in the arena to each take one step back. Why, when editing this mixture of live material together, did Geffen ever think of putting this bit in? Is it to emphasize how hard Axl is?
Anyway, CD1 isn't the best GNR material ever complied, but it's finer than most other bands on an off-day. My only qualm is that there doesn't appear to be enough bass. So get yourself a decent stereo for this one.
That is more than made up for with CD2 which encompasses the very best of Use your Illusions II. Yup we have a grand finale of Estranged, Paradise City etc. It's a belter.
So 2 X 70 minutes = value for money in my book!
