Average rating - 4.0 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Different - but brilliant

I was disappointed when Breathless was released, it didn't seem very Corrsish to me - but I bought the album anyway. Now I'm really glad I did, for now its one of my all time favourites! Give Me A Reason is brilliant - its so shimmery and strange... Rain is also excellent - it makes you feel like you've just woken up and all you can see is sunlight though white curtains (which contradicts its title - I know). "All in a Day" will stay with you all day, and although I didn't think much to the single version of Radio, this remix is breath taking. It annoys me that they've only released my two least fave tracks (Breathless and Irristable) because it has put quite a few people I know off buying the album (that is until they listened to mine and realised that it is actually very good!) BUY IT NOW!

Rating: 5 of out 5 - HURT BEFORE

I was initially very disappointed by In Blue, as it seem my favourite band have changed their previously unique image into that of a common pop group. But I wasn't about to give up on them, (before I thought they could do no wrong, and do again now) I decided, after careful consideration, to abandon Talk On Corners until I could at least hum the chorus to every song on In Blue, by the time I could do that I had realised that there were 2 Corrs classics on there, Rebel Heart & Hurt Before, I have to admit to liking any good poppy song so I now love No More Cry and quite like Give Me A Reason and Breathless. The main thing I have always loved about The Corrs is Andrea's beautiful voice, on most of the tracks this wonderful talent is not used very well, on Give It all Up it sounds really silly. If anyone bought Forgiven Not Forgotten but hardly listened to it until Talk on Corners converted them to a truly dedicated Corrs fan then they should buy the album for Hurt Before alone! I now enjoy listening to In Blue on random on my CD player, but if The Corrs next album is a pop album with no 'Hurt Before' equivalent I will probably cry! I will carry on buying Corrs albums in the future, if just for Andrea's voice alone! My Favourite In Blue songs:

HURT BEFORE: A beautiful song, it shows off Andrea's vocal talents to the full, the song is broken up near the end by a violin break from Sharon. This is fast becoming my favourite Corrs song.

REBEL HEART: a typical Corrs instrumental. The violin is the main instrument playing roughly the same tune throughout the song.

NO MORE CRY: A great pop song. I would never have thought The Corrs would have done something like this, after listening to it the first time I could see nothing but cheerfulness in it. It still never fails to cheer me up. I often try to sing this but it seems impossible to sing it in tune.

SOMEBODY 4 SOMEONE: The first time I heard the chorus I could tell that it was a classic song, not a Corrs song though. Apart from Andrea's voice and the fact that it's on a Corrs album I would never have guessed that it was a Corrs song.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - I Definitley Recomend this album to any Corrs Fan

Track's written with [ r - mutt large ] are realy brilliant and the instrumental at the end of the album realy is worth while listining to sharon does an exellent violin melodey on this track and i think it's great and the rest of the track's are also exellent Corrs Songs

Rating: 1 of out 5 - Definitely a change of pace - and not to the best.

I was honestly disappointed when I listened to In Blue. Even though superbly produced, the album lacks the *esprit* of the previous albums, especially of Unplugged, and the Irish folk music background. It is *good* pop music, but that's all. I was even more disappointed when I went to see them in concert in Frankfurt/Germany. The show was *perfect* in a sense that everything was identical to the CD. BUT: for me, the beauty of a concert is that the artists can REALLY show what they can do. Here, it was lifeless, unemotional and dull, a far cry from the Unplugged album. There was no spontaneity at all, there were no soli played by any of the musicians, and they had hardly any connection to the audience. Actually, the warm up (David Gray) was much more fun to watch!

But, again, listening to In Blue- what did I expect?

Rating: 3 of out 5 - It is not what I had expected. You botched up there Corrs!

I bought the album and was excited about listening to it. When I heard the CD all the way through I found that the only good songs were Breathless and Radio. It has really put me off the Corrs and I would think again before buying another album.
