Average rating - 4.0 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - I hated it, but then I loved it.

When I first bought this album, I listened to it all the way through, got home and proclaimed about how it was one of the worst albums I'd ever heard and how The Corrs had really failed us with this one.

A couple of weeks later I listened to it again, and a few of the tracks didn't seem to be so bad after all. Sure, it wasn't as good as Forgiven Not Forgotten, but it started to seem far better than the awful "Talk on Corners".

A couple of weeks later still, I listened to it again and I found that I loved the CD to death. This is now my second favourite Corrs CD just behind Forgiven Not Forgotten.

I think some of the more dedicated Corrs fans on here have condemned the album merely because it is a bit of a departure from what they've done before. It sounds like a sell-out, but it isn't, the sell out was 'Talk on Corners'. 'In Blue' slides back a little bit from the mainstream and heads back towards the territory held by Forgiven Not Forgotten with amazing grace.

This album is a glorious departure from the overproduced mess that was Talk on Corners, and most Corrs fans will probably realise this, it just takes time.

Rating: 3 of out 5 - Okay....but what happened since Talk on Corners?

It's safe to say that I am the Corrs biggest fan and I loved their previous two albums. Seeing them play live was wonderful and I felt that they offered real music to a pop chart in desperate need of revival. Needless to say I waited with baited breath for the release of In Blue and bought it on its first day of release. However The Corrs have overproduced this one. The music has lost the raw edge that they were respected for and the album could have been done by any one of a hundred pop acts. The magic of forgiven not forgotten and brilliance of talk on corners has vanished in a hazy cloud of commercialism and mixing. Try again guys - its your originality we liked not your ability to do the same as every one else.

Rating: 3 of out 5 - Fans of forgiven not forgotten will be disappointed

If you are a Corrs fan who enjoyed the celtic and rebel aspects to previous albums, e.g. forgiven not forgotten, then you will be disappointed with this latest offering. It is far too over-produced and although it has some interesting tracks there are no real "classics" in this album, the re-re-re produced version of "radio" has, like the whole band it seems, lost its edge. If you like pop music, are not familiar with previous Corrs music and enjoyed "breathless" then you will find this album worthwhile, otherwise I fear you will be disappointed.

Rating: 4 of out 5 - Fantastic

The Corrs have yet again excelled themselves. They have come a long way since I first saw them supporting Celine Dion and even then I thought - they will be huge. Best track on the album is Give Me a Reason. Perfect listening to sing along to in the car or chilling out in the bath. The collaborations between Mutt Lange and The Corrs are faultless.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Relaxing and Calming

I thought the Corrs album was so good, when I listened to it. I just sat there and said to myself 'That was really excellent!' I especially liked Rebel Heart, Irresistible and their no. 1 hit Breathless. If you are looking for typical Corrs music- Get this album!
