- theres better cds out there
if you want a laugh then buy this, but the novelty will soon wear off. There are so many rappers better than eminem out there that it seems a shame that he is regarded as the best. Lets just hope that this novelty rapper can do some good and can perhaps pave the way for commmercial success for those that have superior talent to him. Best songs on it are probably amytiville and b#### please II, though better songs than them can be found on any dre or snoop album. Highly reccomended if your a trendy who likes to jump on the bandwagon.
Think for yourself and buy what you like,do not do something just because it is popular.

- Aural hell!
All right. We've got this CD about an idiotic rapper with bad taste in clothes, hair, music and, well, just about everything. His mentor is the rapper Dr. Dre - he stinks! This is quite possibly the worst album I have ever listened to. The songs are horribly unpleasant and they are not even catchy. The worst bit, though, is definitely the lyrics - the awful cacophany of f-words, m-words, s-words, c-words, you name it. I'd give this album a negative number, but one is the limit on this site. I have heard that Eminem once had a wife. What's her problem? Yes, every time I see or hear Eminem, I say to myself - 'What's his problem?' This album is aural hell.

- Eminem has a fantastic talent
Eminem is amazing. His songs are comical, and every word he sings fits into the song perfectly. Personally I think the Slim Shady LP is better, but both albums are five star. His ability to rhyme every word from a limited vocabulary of swear words is amazing, but the way he explains every sentence means people find him comical, not dirty and awful. Whatever form of musical taste you have, BUY THIS ALBUM!

- good album, but buy the slim shady lp if you haven't already
when i bought the MMLP i thought it was the best CD i had ever heard: it's funny, the rhymes are superb, and the beats are good. however, in my enthusiasm for this cd, i went back to my (by this time fairly old, and not much listened to) copy of the Slim Shady LP and came to the conclusion that, although the MMLP has more stand-out tracks, (Drugs Ballad, Stan, Bitch Please II, Under The Influence) the SSLP is overall a better effort - Please buy it, i'm so sick of having conversations about the MMLP and finding that the person i'm talking to hasn't even heard the first album.

- A fantastic achievement
Eminem is not the best rapper. He does not make the best songs. He is not symbolic of the best rap that's out there. All this is true. However, this record is a phenomenal achievement. It is clear that Slim Shady is desperate to maintain the respect of the Hip-hop community and you've got to respect the fact that he can still drop a dope record even though there is a good chance that a great deal of the people who buy it will either be under 11 or 14-16 year old girls who want to show off to their mates by crooning their best Dido impression in "Stan". Slim knows this, but he has succeded in making a record which can still be put on the decks in the more respectable Hip hop clubs. As with the first album, where he did only two songs, some more production by Dre would be nice, but there are still some very hot tracks. I remember being superbly impressed by Stan when I heard the album on its release date, and being equally as disappointed when realising that the whole country was clocking onto it, because they liked the tune. Criminal and Amityville are very good and the album as a whole has a smooth flow. His "angry" tracks can be a little irritating such as "kill you" and "way I am" and he aint as tough as all that. It's still petty solid all round and as long as he's sticks with D12, Dre and keeps chillin' with Calvin he'll be aii. One to buy and then part-exchange.
