- Just push stop
Speaking as a big fan of Aerosmith, this was a huge disappointment. Only 2 songs on the CD are worthy of the Aerosmith name, the rest are completely forgettable. I would only recommend buying it to somebody who wants to complete their Aerosmith CD collection. Push play for Pump, Rocks or Nine Lives instead.

- Who are the Kings of Rock?
I really had forgotten how good Aerosmith are, I had to travel by train to a different branch at work and so i thought id take along my minidisc player, i was kinda in a rush and grabbed the 1st Mini Disc i laid my hands on, It happened to be "Nine Lives"
, and boy not having listened to it in probably over a year i was amazed by how good an album that is! "Fallen Angels" being my personal Fav, why am i telling you this? well that album Reminds me so much of this Album! You just cant find a bad track on these 2 Cds!, No body can Sing like Tyler, and no band can Gel it all together like these Guys! If you Like Aerosmith in any Shape or form then i cant reccommend this highly enough! Buy it!

- something old something new
having read the other reviews i felt i had to include my own. for starters nine lives isnt glossed pop! and fly away from here is absolutely awful! considering that apart from the aforementioned song jaded is actually the worst track on the album it tells you something about just how good this album is. they skillfully mix beatles hooks and melodies with their own brand of hard rock (see beyond beautiful, trip hoppin and sunshine). one gripe is that there arent enough solo's and when there are they are a tad too short, but all in all i think this album is definately worth buying just because its not depressing like most other rock albums are!

- Just Push Play? FNA!!!!!
what with aerosmith having been around so long and having so many albums, it's only natural that they should sound tired, boring and (titter) jaded on this album... but they're far from it! this is the cd that got me hooked on aerosmith. they experiment with lots of new sounds and they all come out stunning. jaded and sunshine are two stonking rock anthems. fly away from here and luv lies are the album's two big powerful ballads. fly away from here is stunning and the album version sounds so much better than the hacked up radio edit which was on the music video. the title track 'just push play' is very strange. it's more on the lines of limp bizkit, and it's unlike anything they've ever done. it sounds a lot better the second time round hearing it. it's gonna be one of their future singles (as is sunshine!) and it'll be interesting to see how it does. the uk version of the cd (this one!) is enhanced and includes the jaded music video and the bonus track 'face', which is a sweet song also. this is one of their best albums of recent years because it shows they've got with the times (and got their hair cut!) and they have loads more left in them. this album will appeal to people who liked their earlier stuff and the linkin park teenyboppers who haven't discovered their music yet. why bother with limp bizkit when a legendary band like aerosmith are still going strong and have some great new material.

- Good fun
I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by this album. I brought it in Italy cos i had lire left over and this was the only album there that interested me remotely. I had previously chosen to boycott post 87 Aerosmith material due to the appallingly radio-friendly Nine Lives.
Not a classic, but does every album have to be? This is simply a good, fun rock 'n roll album to keep them going into their retirement and after such sterling services to the rock world can anyone really begrudge them that pleasure? Especially seeing as this album ain't half bad!
My favourite tracks are Beyond Beautiful, Jaded and Under My Skin. Beyond Beatiful, I can safely say, is the mightiest song to have come out of Camp Aerosmith in a good 10 years. Brilliant studio wizardry and skittery off-beat vocals that are combined with great guitar riffs from Joe Perry. Superb. Jaded was probably the right choice for first single. A great power-pop song that makes you skip along. It's totally innocent and life-affirming and has reminded me of just what I love about the Boston Boys. Under My Skin has a great riff and a very good melody that is reminiscent of Rocks.
The only wretched track on here is Fly Away From Here. No, no, no, no, no!! Absolute dross. Balladry like this should have Steven Tyler (or the two idiots who wrote this track) arrested for bringing down the reputation of such a magnificent group.
All in all, this album is a great little romp. Not up to the standard of Toys In The Attic or Rocks but, let's face it, could 50 year olds create such fresh, youthful music? I'm very fond of this. You'd be a miserable fool not to be.
