- A difficult adaption
I really loved the previous album and in particular the vocals. In many ways I also like the new one, but the new singer just hasn't got the right voice for it. Jesse was the heir to the hard core throne after Burton (Fear Factory) left the scene. He had a feral hunting snarl as well as the uplifting harmonics needed to make this kind of music work.
This album seems confussing at times. It's starts out hard and heavy with splendid vocals, but suddenly transforms into something like Swedish power metal like Hammerfall. It feels like the band has tried to make to much happened in to short a time, and has ended up a little confused themselves.
Hope theire next one will turn out better because they still show a lot of potential.

- Good Stuff
The Killswitch album 'Live or just breathing' is an amazing album full off heavy guitar riffs and power lyrics, this being the case you would think that the follow up albums may not cut it but killswitch engage self titled was jsut as good. End of heart is brillant, with a new singer the lyrics are more powerful then ever. Their guitar riffs still full filling their orginal fans needs. The album is still killwitch style yet fresh and new which makes it addictive to listen too. If you like strong emotional music with guitars and drums colliding together to make bloody good music this the band and album for you.

- Will always be one of my favourite albums!!!
This album is a work of art. Every song on the album is great and I dont know what else to say. The vocals from Howard are totally outstanding but instramentally the balance is also perfect. KsE are a perfect combination by blending of drums, guitars and bass easing you through every song. Im going to see KsE tomorrow night, last time I saw them Howard had just taken over that week and he ruled live, but now after more time with the band the result is goin to be mindblowing!!! Get a ticket for KsEs UK tour cos its gonna be unforgettable!!!!!!!!

- 3rd album + new singer= success? (worked for Iron maiden)
Killswitch Engage's 3rd album marks their break into commercial success. Featuring new singer Howard Jones this is a storming creation. The arrival of Jones to KSE is similar to that of Bruce Dickenson to Iron Maiden. Its at this point the band finally reach the songwriting mastery they are capable of displayed in 'Rose of Sharon' and 'When darkness falls'.
The only complaint I have is that they perhaps overuse this this style. Dont get me wrong its brilliant, however to me the albumn seems a little to samey. Granted thats no bad thing as each song is excellent. However it would be nice to see them try a different format to the storming opening riffs that eventually decend into melodic chorus hooks on every track.
The album however is excellent and one of the best of this year.

- KsE - Saviours of Metal!
It's hard to put into words just how revolutionary this band are. On the one hand, they hold true to the core values of metal, and on the other they stretch every sinew of its already desiccated body to produce what is one of the most awe inspiring albums of recent years. Every track is a joy to behold. If you LOVE metal, you will love this album, and most likely every other album the band have produced. A true piece of artistry in an world of mundane metal. All hail KsE!!! Just to add, being a drummer, the work of Justin Foley is truely immense! Buy and Enjoy!
