- WOW
Having been a fan of rammstein for quite some time now i was very pleased to find that this album is just as good if not better than the previous ones. they even attempt some english in there which has some rather amusing lyrics. coca cola, wonder-bra. lol. Every track is well thought out and is placed in the album where it naturally seems to fit. Definately a must for all fans and newbies.

- I am overcome with a desire to invade Poland!
I have been listening to Ramms+ein's REISE, REISE for a couple of days almost non-stop, and this CD just refuses to eject! Yes, it's that good, people. As always, the music has an operatic, visual quality that makes you already feel the incredible pyrotechnics that are sure to accompany these eleven tracks on stage. The power of the songs, the heartfelt conviction laid out raw, and Till Lindemann's German vocals ranging from a melodic hum to deep-bass Teutonic battlecry, makes for a potent combination. Listening to these tracks, I feel that Ramms+ein are true artists, as opposed to being just a band. Otherwise they would be singing in 'American' by now, reaping the just rewards of their addictive Tanz Metal, or Dance Metal.
While it has to be said that REISE, REISE lacks the kind of defining Wagnerian/industrial/gothic anthem that MUTTER had in 'Mein Herz Brennt', overall the quality of the songs is more even than on the previous album. There truly are no fillers here. Even the overly-commercial and too-obvious single, 'Amerika', is put into context as it is trailed by 'Moskau', the opposing pole of influence from the years of the Cold War. You can sense the German angst over being squeezed between these two giants for much too long.
For me, the high points of REISE, REISE are the last two tracks. To hear an Aryan Ubermensch tearing his heart out on 'Ohne Dich', followed immediately by the cynical, world-weary voice on the ironically-named 'Amour', makes you really appreciate the versatility of Ramms+ein as musicians. Die Liebe ist ein wildes Tier, indeed.
The production values are about the same as on MUTTER, which is to say: excellent. The guitars sound clear and crisp, effortlessly evoking the sense of an imminent Panzer attack on the plains of Poland. There's even some acoustic guitar work on display here, mainly on 'Los'. The keyboards by Christian 'Flake' Lorenz sound better integrated to the rest of the instruments than ever before. Throw in some some strings and a couple of full-blown orchestrations and you have the Ramms+ein sound intact, even somewhat expanded compared to what has gone before. Especially Till Lindemann's muscular lead vocals have become more nuanced, providing the gravitas or perverse levity, whichever is required by the subject matter at hand.
If ever you searched for an album that makes you sing incomprehensible (and probably way beyond explicit) German lyrics to yourself in public, look no further. The only bad thing about REISE, REISE is that considering the rate at which Ramms+ein put out new material, the next album will be out sometime in 2007...

- Rammstein
Second best album after Mutter. Same depth, not quite as fierce. Amerika has multiple meanings- listen closely. It is as much (or more) a protest against the desire to imitate as it is a straightforward protest song. Kudos to Rammstein for not taking the easy way.

- Mutter 2????!
The long awaited album is here! But is it worth it?
Reise, Reise holds some of the old influencial heavy industrial rock as the previouse album 'Mutter' did, but with a difference. Reise, Reise still has the rough vocals of Till Lindermann, the hard strung guitar and bass from the past and the clever keyboard as heard on Mutter. But what is Different?
Various song seem to be slightly slower than tracks on previouse albums. Simple.
On the album are many funny antics. e.g.
Mein Teil= depicts the true story of the German hannible recently on the news.
Amerika= Amusingly makes fun of 'Amerika', Micky Mouse, Santa Clause, and the drink giants Coca Cola.
etc
In conclucion Reise, Reise has the old touch of Rammstein with some slightly calmer tracks (but not much slighter!!!!!!)

- Du bist was du isst
If "Mutter" was a Wagnerian opera then "Reise Reise" is an hour of MTV. There's even some (shock horror) English in the ironic anthem "Amerika" e.g. "We're all living in Amerika, Coca-cola and sometimes war". "Los" is verging on country and "Moskau" sounds like Tatu (deliberately?). There are more serious tracks such as the opening "Reise Reise" and the love song "Ohne Dich". The church choir on "Morgenstern" is haunting, and the all-out power of the gloriously sick "Mein Teil" is stunning. So whilst the album is no masterpiece and lacks the emotional intensity of "Mutter", one has to applaud the band for trying something different, and still producing a very enjoyable record.
