I recieved my 1st Tama, on June 19th '06. I loved it soo much! I bought my sister one, then I bought another one. They're cute, but only good when your bored.
I personally think, they should have removable skins and the should text messages. I mean it would be sooo cool to text message! But, that sounds like they're turning into cell phones. :P

i remember that day when i recvied version 1 of tamagotchi i was sooo excited!!!!! it was a dream come true!! i finally had my own to take care of!! it was mine!! my very own tamagotchi!!! i was a begignner of raisen a tamagotchi!
my first generation tamagotchi died at the age of seven!! right before the match maker!! i was really upset!! i wanted to barry it in the tamagotchi graveyard (still dont no how!!) lol!! but that didnt stop me!! i raised the rest with no deaths!! right at this moment my tamagotchi has a baby girl and is eight years of age!! im in 14th generation and soon to be in 15th. i need 3 more charactors to have them all!! i cant wait to get them all!!! i still need (i dont exactly know thar real names) the rebot, the duck with the mouth on the side, and the one with the big nose!! can sum1 tell me if thar iz way to get them??!! cuz if thar is im determined to no!! i dont have version 2 but i would luv to have it!!! im happy and proud to say im a true tamagotchi fan!!!

My neice wanted one for Christmas but I could not get in the shops anywhere. Had to be a silver one, I was relieved to find on Amazon and it was delivered in 3 days. Took all the work out of shopping for it. Seemed a little difficult to set up in the first instance, as all info needs to be entered and is rather a long process for an excited 9 year old who just 'wants to get on with it'

This toy is fantastic. My daughter got one for Christmas and I wanted one so much I had to get one for myself. My son then started having a paddy because he didn't have one, so we got one for him as well. We are now a household of Tamagotchi owners, apart from Dad, who really doesn't like games at all. Everybody should have a Tamagotchi - they are really good fun.
