Rating: 3 of out 5 - Good game..but...

Sorry to say this but I think that on the whole the 2008 game was better than this version. One thing that I'm glad to see is the introduction of the "Create a Finisher" mode, which is very good. Only being able to create a finisher where you're face to face with the opponent is a little dull, but it's a good start. Let's hope for some expansion. The career mode is ok but no storyline lets it down. However you are able to create a Diva then use her in career mode which is nice. The graphics and weapons are good and the game play is very good with lots of good options for move sets.

More bad points...well the Road to Wrestlemania isn't very good as the storylines are too set in stone and there are to few wrestlers. Also if you're going to put in a tag team story line, why not use either a proper tag team (The Colon's, Miz and Morrison etc) instead of Batista and Mysterio who were a good tag team but made a name for themselves with individual performances. Also, not having a Diva RTW isn't great as the Diva's play a big part in the WWE these days. I would also like to be able to fight in the crowd and put someone through the announcer's (commentator') table and chose to interrupt a rivals match. Maybe a proper career mode as well, where you literally start from the bottom (local/high-school wrestler) and move up to a WWE Hall of Famer.

Not as good as 2008...but not a bad game. Hopefully 2010 will be an improvement on 08 and 09.

Rating: 3 of out 5 - Good, but limited, fun.

This is the first wrestling game I've owned since Here Comes the Pain way back when on the PS2. The first thing that baffled me about it is the 'progress' in the story mode over the years. Back in HCTP you had a mode that you could play with anyone, had great stories which sometimes related to the character but even when they didn't still felt great fun to play. There was a sense of choosing a path that is sadly lacking here.

The new story mode is called 'Road to Wrestlemania' and sees you pick from a few chracters, meaning you get storylines tailored to the specific characters. I found some of these stories fun to play and some, the Cena one especially, laughably bad. Again I go back to my original disbelief that in five years the story mode has deteriorated so badly that this is the result, and this is meant to have improved since last year! The alternative mode is 'career' which is seemingly the old story mode without any story, utterly pointless in other words.

I may sound disappointed with this but overall I have found the game fun to play, the controls and graphics are excellent, but I just wish some more effort could be made in recreating the storylines that gets people hooked on this kind of entertainment.

Rating: 4 of out 5 - Decent game

I think this game is probably the best yet. Last years was a bit of a disaster for me in terms of the 24/7 mode, which was boring, repetitive and didn't really work. However the graphics were much improved. They've kept the improved graphics, and I think the gameplay works pretty well too. But for me the main feature on these games is the storyline modes. This year they've thankfully ditched the previously mentioned 24/7 mode, and instead gone for a Road to Wrestlemania section, where you can choose one of six competitors, including a tag team option. The storylines, for the first time, are actually based on the individual charcters, which makes the game much more enjoyable, though it could be better if it lasted a bit longer.

My main problem with the game is that it is too easy. On legend difficulty, I still have no problem easily winning any one on one match. I was really hoping they'd have made it more of a challenge. I don't think i'm particularly good at games in general, but this one is pretty easy.

Overall, though, it's worth getting if you like wrestling games, though you might want to know that many wrestlers who have been on the show for a few months aren't featured, and a few of the wrestlers haven't featured for some time.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Cool

I think it is better than last years game!!!!
The graphics are a bit better!

Rating: 1 of out 5 - Terrible!!!!

I buy these games normally for the season mode. The season mode normally has a story behind it but this one doesn't. You just challenge for titles, and without the story mode it's BORING!!!
Total waste of money!!!!
