Rating: - Anyone should see this film. The big mistake of Henry viii was that only a male could exercise authority over our kingdom.

Just see the film. This will assuredly justify your time. I am not historically qualified beyond the fact that the issue centres around a male successor to the throne during a period of a desperate if short sighted King; Elizabeth 1 daring reduced Henry VIII (her father)to a figure of his time merely. Her influence significantly changed the world. Richard Burton and, without exception, ALL of the cast carry the responsibility of this great production to perfection. I cannot recommend this production enough.

Excellent movie, enjoyed every bit of it, only wish i could get the other movies i was interested in , but sadly they wont ship them to Australia.

If you like historical drama this film is a real winner in the genre. It relates the stormy love story between King Henry VIII of England and Anne Boleyn, which lead to his divorce from Catherine of Aragon and the break of England with Rome. Somptuous costumes and sets, an excellent supporting cast and stupendous performances by Richard Burton and Geneviève Bujold (who won the Golden Globe Award for best actress and an Academy Award nomination) make this film a complete success.

it is wonderful for all who likes historical, romantic films..
only english subtitle .
i do recommend ...everybody should watch..even not interested in history..:)i am sure they will be interested in , too...:=)

I know and love this film from years ago. It's saved
for a wine and nibbles night with my daughter.
