Average rating - 5.0 out of 5

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Something everyone can relate to

Perhaps not everyone has been a 20-year-old vampire slayer, but the various issues of family, finding your place in the world, death and relationships will be familiar to us all.

This season combines the usual Buffy humour with tears and puzzlement. 'The Body' and 'The Gift' show Buffy at her best, and you cant help but shed a tear, while 'Intervention' is full of humour 'Blood Ties' and 'Tough Love' are very touching.

Not to be missed by anyone.

Rating: 4 of out 5 - Good but for different reasons than other Buffy series

The latter half of this series brings some of the best acting I have ever seen in a television series to the small screen. Gellars performance in The Body, for example, was absolutely first rate.

However the issues these episodes tackle - death, mortalilty, sacrifice and responsibilty are taking Buffy in a different direction to seasons one to four. Not because this is the first time they have been dealt with, obviously, but because several elements of the Buffy formula have been removed at the same time. Where is the humour that we have seen in Xander, Spike or Anya? Buffy is essentially an action series but that even element has been reduced.

Now don't get me wrong, I found this series very enjoyable, no thats the wrong word. I found it moving, tragic and deep. But these are not episodes that will appeal to casual viewers or Buffy newbies. And I feel that Buffy may have lost some of its younger fan base because of the direction it has taken.

Buffy has grown up and so have the themes in the episodes. But I hope series 6 is a lot more fun and lot less tragic.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - If you liked the previous boxset than you'll love this!

The second half of Buffy is undoubtally the best box set ever.It has a mixture of all types of emotions 'I was made to love you'adds the humour, 'The Body' which i think is the best episode ever adds the sadness. Some of the best episodes of Buffy are are on this boxset,'The Body','Intervention','Weight of the world' and 'The Gift'-which has a shocking ending.I must say it did bring a few tears to my eyes so be warned.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - Vampire Slayage at its best

This season is much more mature than the ones preceeding it. There are a few moments when it gets back to good-old Buffy of the first few series though. This season focuses far more on the emotional ties surrounding the gang e.g. Buffy and her family ties and the lovelives of the gang. The ever fantastic character Spike has been dealt with much better in this boxset, not just comic relief...can a vampire without a soul behave himself? The season 6 has a lot to live up to after this one. The season-finale The Gift is an almost-perfect blend of raw emotions and action, something most of this set provides. If you buy, I guarantee you will enjoy. Something for everyone in this set.

Rating: 5 of out 5 - smiles, laughter and tears some buffy classics in the making

This Box set is well worth the money. I have already had hours of enjoyment from it. The episodes leading up to the season finale are spot on and a feel of the earlier series creeps in with episodes like 'I was made to love you'. Overall some good old fashioned Buffy fun with a large number of laughs and an equally large number of teary eyed moments! Be perpared as these episodes really do tug at your heart strings in more ways than one.
